Dear Parents

Brownies’ Group Camp

Ms Dennis has organised a camp over in the school grounds this weekend for all the members of the school Brownies group. A number of very enjoyable activities have been organised for the pupils and it is sure to be a very enjoyable camp for all the pupils involved.

School Environmental Day

On the 20th July the school will be organising a beach clean up on the various islands in the Tunku Abdul Rahman National Park. This is being organised in association with Sutera Harbour who will be sponsoring the boats to the islands. The whole school will be involved in this activity which is aimed at raising an awareness of environmental issues in our pupils. More details will be sent home next week about this day.

School BBQ / Pot Luck Dinner

The PTA is organising a BBQ / Pot Luck dinner for all the families on the 20th July at 6.00pm. These have always been very successful with everyone having a very enjoyable time. More details will be sent home next regarding this.

 School Reports

School reports will be sent home 26th July.

Last Day of Term Arrangements

Please note that the last day of the term is 27th July. Pupils will be sent home at 12.00noon. Please make arrangements to take your child home at this earlier time. The PTA is organising a Mufti Day fundraiser, whereby pupils will not have to wear uniform for a fee of RM5.00.

New School Uniform

The school will be introducing a new school uniform for the Secondary Department. The Primary Department will continue to use the same uniform that it is currently using for the time being. Orders for the new uniform can be taken through the school PTA next week. A letter will be sent home with full details.

A Levels (Year 12 & 13) at KIS

The school has decided to proceed with opening Year 12 & 13 to study for A Levels. This is planned to start in January 2002. As mentioned at the EGM the school fee will be RM4000.00 a term. It is now easier for Malaysian students to enter our school at Year 12 and 13 to study for their A levels, therefore please assist the school by promoting the A Level programme amongst your friends and colleagues.

After School Clubs

Next week will be the last week for after school clubs. There will be no clubs held during the last week of the term.

Books Returned

All library and school reading books are to be returned to school by the end of next week. All textbooks will need to be returned to school during the last week of the term.

Contributions Towards a Good Cause

This week the Student Council has been collecting donations on behalf of SABATA in aid of Tuberculosis sufferers in Sabah. A total of RM150.85 was collected thanks to your generosity.  Thank you.
