Dear Parents

School Nature Club Camp

The school Nature Club is going on a camp at the Tenom Nature Agricultural Park this weekend. Pupils will be departing today and returning on Sunday. This is sure to be an exciting and informative field trip. Thank you to Mrs Lamb for organising this.

Brownies’ Camp

Our school Brownies group will be having an overnight camp in the school grounds next weekend. A notice is going home to parents today about this. Please ensure that the reply slip is given back to Ms Dennis early next week.

Collecting Children After School

Parents are reminded that pupils should be collected immediately after school. Primary department pupils should be collected at 2.10pm. Secondary pupils should be collected at 2.30pm. If pupils are participating in an afterschool club, then they should be collected at 3.30pm.

Too many of our pupils are being collected as late as 4.00pm and 5.00pm. This is unacceptable.

Parents’ Parking in School Grounds

Once again I have to write requesting that parents remove their car from the school grounds by 8am. From 8am this area is needed for PE lessons and the like. We have already had one incident where a car has received some minor damage due to a ball hitting it during school time. The school will not take any responsibility for incidents such as this if parents leave their car in the school grounds.

There is now ample parking outside the school gate for those parents that wish to stay on after the 8am bell. If parents cannot co-operate with this request, then the school will simply close the gates to all cars and everyone will have to park outside the gate.

Summary of Board Meeting

A reminder to all parents that the Board of Management are now putting up on the notice board at the entrance a summarised version of the minutes of each Board meeting. This is to keep everyone fully informed of the various developments and issues being discussed.
