Dear Parents

We come to the end of the term today. It has been a very busy term. This term we opened the Computer Lab and this has proven to be a tremendous success with our pupils. We also opened lessons for parents twice a week. This term, we opened our first Year 11 class and just this week these pupils were sitting their first IGCSE examinations. All of the schemes of work and policy statements in each subject area in the Secondary Department have been reviewed and updated.

This term we introduced the school Adventure Club that went on rafting and mountain bike trips on the weekends. The school Environment Club was also re-established thanks to the efforts of Mrs Marsh and Mrs Lamb. Our Secondary Department pupils were also taken on three-day Outward Bound Course.

In the Primary Department a new mathematics scheme was introduced to aid the learning of pupils. This is line with the new Numeracy initiatives in the UK. Each class went on field trips to compliment the work done in the classroom.

English as a Second Language Teacher

The school has created a new position to assist our pupils with English language needs. Mr Smith has been appointed to the position and has already begun working with pupils in the Secondary Department.

Building Project

We have watched the new building project progress to its final stages and we are quietly confident that we will be able to shift into these new classrooms at the beginning of next term.

International Food Fair

The International Food-Fair organised by the school PTA was a tremendous success with most families attending. This event raised RM1500.00 for the FOBISSEA Games sports team. Thank you to all parents for supporting this initiative.

Farewell to Departing Pupils

We would like to say farewell to Alicia Tai and Daniel Ting from ELC, Nao Yasuda (Rec) and Shuhei Yasuda (Year 3).

We wish you all every success in the future.

I would like to thank the PTA for all the effort they have put in throughout the term, and also express the staffs' appreciation to all parents that have helped the school in one way or another. The school enjoys tremendous support from its parent population and this spirit of cooperative effort between the parents and staff can only benefit the children in their learning.

On behalf of the staff I wish everyone a safe and enjoyable holiday break and look forward to seeing you all again on May 2nd when the new term starts.
