Dear Parents

10 Pin Bowling Demonstration

Today the pupils were provided with a demonstration on 10 Pin Bowling by Mr Lim from the CPS Bowl at Centre Point. He gave demonstrations to the Primary Department and Secondary Department pupils separately and also gave all the pupils the opportunity to try out 10 pin bowling.

This is to promote the CPS Bowl School Programme in which a limited number of pupils from our school can receive a year’s training in 10 Pin Bowling. The programme is open to pupils aged 15 years old and below. Any pupils interested in joining this programme please contact Mr Dickinson.

Essay Competition

All Year 4 – 11 pupils have been involved in a school essay competition organised by Ms Hardie. The essays are presently being judged and the results will be announced next week.

 Term Exams

Pupils in the Secondary Department will be sitting their term exams in the week beginning 27th March. These exams will be based upon work completed up until now.

KIS Support for Sabah Blind Society

All of our pupils have been inserting letters in envelopes for the Sabah Blind Society. They have had to seal literally thousands of envelopes. In doing so they have saved the Society a tremendous amount of work. The envelopes are part of the Society’s fund raising efforts. The pupils are to be congratulated for a job well done.

On March 30th we will be having another basket sale for the Blind Society.  This year, the basket sale will coincide with the fundraising for the FOBISSEA Primary Games.  There will be a slight increase in the cost of the baskets with a small percentage going towards the fundraising efforts.  Laundry baskets were a favourite item last year.

Anyone wishing to purchase a laundry basket (RM65) please leave your name with Ms Jasmine in the school office and we will reserve a basket for you.  The Blind Society has assured us that if laundry baskets are not available on the sale date, they are willing to take and fill orders as quickly as they can.

KIS Adventure Club: Mountain Bike Expedition

Miss Stansfield has organised a mountain bike expedition on Sunday for pupils in the Secondary Department. This is the second activity this term for our school Adventure Club.

School Annual General Meeting

A reminder to parents that the School Annual General Meeting is to be held on Thursday 29th March at 7.30pm. For those parents that wish to attend the meeting but need care facilities for the children, arrangements will be made for children to be looked after in a classroom while the meeting is on.
