Dear
Parents
Welcome back to all
our families returning to school, and a very special welcome to those
families who are new to the school. We look forward to an exciting,
productive and enjoyable academic year ahead. We have four new teachers
starting with us this year. They
are: Ø
Mr Davies, who will be teaching Physics and Geography. He will also
coordinate IGCSE in the school. Ø
Miss Hardie, who will be teaching English and History in the
Secondary Department. Ø
Mr Dickinson, who will be teaching Mathematics in the Secondary
Department. Ø
Mrs Henry, who will be teaching the Early Learning Class. Volunteers
for Swimming We
hope to begin swimming next week for all year groups. We once again would
like to request your assistance in volunteering to be parent helpers at
swimming. Please check the days and times below of each year groups
swimming lessons and let the class teacher know if you can help on any of
these days. The swimming days and times are as follows: After
School Clubs After
school clubs will begin the week after the Chinese New Year Break. A
letter to give you and your child the choice of what clubs they would like
to participate in will be sent home in the near future.

Computer
Lab As
a result of all the fund raising by the school PTA and with support by the
Board of Management, we now have our computer lab with twenty computers
operational. Mr White worked very hard right through the holidays to ensure
the lab was ready. We have many plans for this facility. Pupils will be
working towards certification in the Cambridge Career Awards, and will also be
working towards IGCSE in this subject in the near future. Later in the term,
Mr White will also provide courses for parents to update their computer skills
so that they will be able to assist their children at home with their work.
The
school will be closed from Wednesday 24th to Sunday 28th
January for the Chinese New Year.
We
would like to remind all parents that the school has an ‘open door’
policy, and that all parents are welcome to assist in various ways in school,
and to make appointments to see their child’s teacher at any time.
