It is with something of a sigh of relief that I can say that we have now completed our first full week of the academic year without interruptions! Topic Talks Topic
Talks took place on Monday and Tuesday of this week for parents of
children in Key Stage One and Key Stage Two. These were informative and
useful and it was good to see parents there. I would say that parents of
about half the students in the class attended the talks and it would be
nice if, next time, even more of you were able to come along. I
would also like to thank Mrs Lily Walker, Mrs Dorothy Justin S, Mrs Abier
Kamal and Mrs Park Ling Ling for generously supplying refreshments for the
two meetings. Clubs Clubs
started this week and have been well attended. We do try to provide a
range of extra-curricular activities and I would urge all students to make
the most of the opportunities on offer. The Club List is available on the
notice board outside the school office. Primary Cooking Club
A charge of RM10 will be made for the primary Cooking Club to cover the
cost of supplies. This should be paid the office. Children taking part
will need to wear aprons which they should bring into school in readiness
for club day.
There
will be a football club for children from Reception to Year 3 on Tuesdays
from 2.10 – 3.00 pm, run by
Mr Davies. If you wish your child to attend, please sign up in the office
before the first session. The club will have to end promptly at 3.00 as Mr
Davies has a meeting immediately afterwards, so please ensure you are
there to collect your children on time.
I would like to extend thanks to Mr and Mrs Vekic, who kindly donated to the school a large number of books. These will find their way into the library and into classrooms, where they will be used and valued. We have had an encouraging number of library donations this term and if any of you do have books in good condition that are surplus to requirements, we would be delighted to have them.

Other donations Mrs
Park Ling Ling has kindly donated a computer table for the Year 3/4 class and
the PTA has donated two hot water flasks. Your generosity is very much
appreciated.
With
immediate effect, those who are interested in ordering lunches should place
their orders, together with payment, directly with Mrs Park Ling Ling (h/p 019 617 9952) and not
with the school office, please. Mrs Park will be in school during the first
part of the morning and during lunch breaks to take your orders. The
new Lunch Package will be for two weeks and there will be no refund if you are
absent for any prepaid lunch. The bi-weekly menu will be displayed on the
notice board outside the school office and all are welcome to place orders for
the KFC or McDonalds menu, if not for the full lunch package. KFC/McDonalds
order forms are available on the same notice board. On
behalf of the whole school community, I would like to thank Mrs Park for her
willingness and untiring efforts to continue the hot lunches arrangement.
This
is being held from 26 – 29 September at the Likas Sports Complex and will be
well worth visiting for the spectacular displays of flowers and landscaped
exhibits. See
the brochure on the notice board for more details. Admission costs RM2.
Children under 12 are free. Best
