I hope you all enjoyed the three-day break and that those of you who celebrated Hari Raya had a joyful time with your families and friends. As the public holidays fell on the days we had marked out in the school calendar, no school days were lost and it is therefore not necessary to make them up later in the year.
I would like to remind all parents that the AGM is scheduled for tonight, Friday, 28 November, at 7.00 in the school library. This is a vital date in the school’s calendar and is the occasion when, among other things, the Board of Management will be elected for the forthcoming year. At least one-quarter of the total voting membership must be physically present at the meeting to achieve a quorum, so please do your best to attend. School Calendars Copies of the school calendar have not been universally issued but you are very welcome to have one. If you do not have a copy, which has on it the term dates and public holiday dates, please ask for one at the office. We have not drawn up an academic calendar for the whole year because with so many changes of personnel it seemed very likely that dates and arrangements would change. This has, in fact, already happened and rather than issue misleading information well in advance it seems better to issue firm dates nearer the time through the newsletter. Primary Parent-teacher Meetings
Secondary Parent-teacher Meetings Parent-teacher meetings for secondary students will take place on Tuesday, 9 December. Appointment forms will be issued on Tuesday, 2 December and should be completed as promptly as possible, please, to ensure that appointments are made at convenient times. |
Rehearsals for the Primary Presentation will take place at Sutera Harbour
Marina Movie Theatre from 8.00 am until around 11.00 am on Monday and
Tuesday, 8 and 9 December. Children should be dropped off at the Movie Theatre
between 7.45 (but no earlier!) and 8.00 (but no later!) please. The children
will be taken back to school by bus after the rehearsals have finished and
resume their normal school day.
Let’s Celebrate Tickets Tickets for the primary presentation on Thursday 11 December, which is called Let’s Celebrate!, are available from the school office priced RM30 for adults and RM12 for children of school age. The ticket price includes food after the show and children who take part will also need tickets. From the PTA:
