Dear Parents
PTA Family Disco
Don’t forget about the PTA’s “KIS Family Disco”. It takes place this evening at the Blue Lagoon Lounge, Marina Club (downstairs), Sutera Harbour, starting at 6:00pm. Tickets are still available from the office or can be purchased at the door.

Last Day of Term
Next Wednesday, July 23, is the last day of term. School will finish after the final assembly which ends at 12:00. It would be a good idea to send bags in with your children next week so that they can carry home some of their work from this term.

Wednesday will be a “Mufti Day” when pupils can come to school dressed in their own clothes and not in school uniform for a fee of RM5. The proceeds will be donated to a very worthy cause – The Seri Mengasih Centre for disadvantaged children.

Correction
In the recent information sheet “Next year at KIS”, there is a typing error. Under “The New School Day” it should read “Year 5/6 will finish at 15:00 on Monday and at 14:00 on the other days” and not Year 4/5 as shown.

After School Clubs
Please be reminded that there will be no after-school clubs next week.

Dance Club
Mrs Alice Chung and the school would like to thank all those parents who have helped make the Dance Club so enjoyable and successful. Special thanks go to Mrs Lotte Thomsen and others, namely Dorothy Justin, Shirley Wong, Katie Doi, Harumi Ueda, Yoriko Makii, Yoko Ogami, Kazuyo Hatanaka, Harumi Tsubouchi, Margaret Lo, Kim Hee-Sock.
Sutera Harbour 7K Sunset Charity Run
The 3rd Annual Sutera Harbour 7K Charity Run will take place on Saturday, July 26. The event is being held in aid of the Special Olympics which provides year-round sports training and athletic competitions, in a variety of Olympic-type sports for persons with intellectual disabilities. As well as the run there will be food, games, joy rides, a battle of the bands and fireworks. This promises to be a great evening so why not join up for the run and raise money for a worthwhile cause? The entry forms and sponsorship cards are available from the school office.

ISKL Carnival
If you are in Kuala Lumpur over the holidays why not visit the ISKL Carnival? It will be held on August 16 from 12:00pm onwards at the International School of Kuala Lumpur, Ampang Campus on Jalan Kolam Air. There will be fun activities and games, food stalls and art and craft sales.

Holiday Poets
Last year Logan Hamilton became a published author through “Young Writers” and over the summer holidays the same group is running two poetry competitions. Young writers are invited to send in poems on a postcard. The best Postcard Poets in the 8-11 and 12-18 age groups will get the chance to win some fabulous prizes. The second competition, Teen Poets, is for students between the ages of 13 and 18 and the best poems received will be published in a collection early next year. Further details are on display on the board outside the school office.

Spanish Tuition
Do you speak Spanish? A student who will be joining the school in September is studying Spanish and he would like to continue while in KK. If you can help or know somebody who could, please contact Mr Davies at school.

Water World
As a reward for all their hard work this term the children and teachers in the primary school visited Water World yesterday afternoon. Everybody had a well-deserved break and a very enjoyable time.
