Dear Parents

A Few Reminders

Some pupils are arriving at school as early as 7:05. While we understand that parents wish to miss the traffic, pupils should arrive no earlier than 7:30 as there is nobody to supervise them before that time.

This term most PE classes start at 8:00. Although most lessons are now held on the field, sometimes classes will need to use the playground. We would be grateful if you would park your car outside or on the forecourt nearest the gate if you intend to stay at school beyond 8:00. Thank you.

Swimming Coach

Mr James Wong resigned at the start of this term so we are looking for a swimming coach. If any parents know a suitable candidate, please contact Mr Davies or the school office.

Afternoon Clubs

Our extra curricular activity programme begins next week and once again football seems to be the most popular.  Marc Hughes, a student from Year 12, is to be congratulated for offering his services in running the football club for Years 6 – 9 on Tuesdays. If any parents would like to follow Marc’s lead and help out with an existing activity please see Mr Dickinson as soon as possible

Mock GCSE’s for Year 11

Well done to our Year 11 students who have struggled manfully to complete their mock GCSE’s. Monday 21st January, is their last day of torture so the library will be available as usual from Tuesday.

Danum Valley Trip

At 2:30 next Friday, 24th January, Ms Stansfield will be holding a meeting for the students and their parents, who wish to go on the trip.

No Primary Football Next Week

Next Wednesday Miss Johnstone will be away, so the Primary Football for Years 1 to 5 will start in week 4.

Home Science Club

The Home Science Club has changed days. It will now go ahead every Wednesday rather than Fridays as advertised.

Help needed

The Primary Production takes place later this term. We need parent volunteers to help with costumes and the set. Please see Mrs Anuar Ghani if you can assist with the production.

Red House Books

The brochures for the Book Club orders will be sent home today.  Please return the completed order form with payment to Ms Jasmine in the School Office by Friday 24th January 2003.

A reminder once again that we shall need to reach a target order of £250 to qualify for the discounted freight charges which has been billed into the cost of the books.
