Awal Muharram
Holiday Please note that
on Tuesday, March 4, the school will be closed for the Awal
Muharram holiday. We wish all of our Muslim families a happy new year.
A quick thank you
to all those parents who supported the Lower School and Upper School
Swimming Competitions. We hope you had an enjoyable morning, I know the
students did. A special vote of thanks goes to Mrs Hughes for being our
announcer and to Mr Park for acting as a lane judge. Likas Zone
Sports Most participants
in the Likas Zone Sports have returned their athletics vests and shorts.
However, a number of sets of kit are still outstanding. Please return
the school athletics attire to Ms Dennis as soon as possible. Theft at
School On Monday Ms
Keoh’s mobile phone was taken from her desk drawer some time before
lunch. Ms Keoh is particularly keen to have the memory chip (sim card)
returned as it contains all of her personal contact numbers. If anybody
has any information about this please contact a member of staff. This is
the second major incidence of theft this term and reminds us all of the
need for vigilance. Once again everybody is urged not to bring valuables
to school and to take greater care of their property.

Photography Session
at Sutera Harbour Sutra Harbour is
inviting all its junior members to participate in their group photography
session. The session takes place this Saturday, March 1, between 2.45pm and
4.30pm at the Theatre, Marina Golf and Country Club. Students who attend in
their sports attire with equipment will be photographed with the possibility
of appearing in next month’s “Suara Sutera” magazine. Light refreshments
will be served and a short movie shown. If anyone is interested they should
register at the Sutera Harbour member relations counter. For more information,
please ring Member Relations at 308 111/308 113. Danum Valley
Expedition Presentations Next Friday morning,
some of the students who visited Danum Valley will be giving presentations on
the trip. This is a great opportunity for those who did not go to share their
experiences and for the presenters to hone their communication skills. A video
of the trip will also be shown. This event will replace the Friday swimming
lessons. Secondary Grade
Cards The Secondary School
Grade Cards will be sent home today. Please read them carefully. Parents
should sign the cards at the bottom and then return them to school with their
children. As our Year 11 students have just received a full report, they will
not be issued Grade Cards. |
