Dear Parents

Next term

This term has ended with an excellent final assembly. The Year 6/7 class gave everybody a glimpse of Roman life complete with costumes; thanks to Mrs Gina Hamilton for organizing this presentation. As well, the school was treated to songs from the Primary production, “Hansel and Gretel”.  After finishing the term on such a high note, we wish everybody a happy Easter holiday.

School re-opens on Tuesday, April 22

Ms Jasmine’s Last Day

Ms Jasmine has worked as the school receptionist for six years. During that time she has helped everybody at the school, children, parents and staff alike. As a token of their appreciation, the Board of Management, represented by their Chairman Mr Greg Fitzgerald, gave Jasmine a farewell gift at today’s assembly. Today is her last day and we all wish her the happiest of futures as she leaves us to spend more time with her family. Their gain is our loss. “We all hope you will come and visit us from time to time, Jasmine.”

New Receptionist

Some of you would have met our new Receptionist, Ms Elsie Lim, who has started in the school office since 24 March. We welcome Ms Elsie to our community.

Please make time to attend the coffee morning and find out how you can help to contribute to the school through PTA activities.

We would like the thank Mrs Alice Chung and the outgoing PTA committee members for all of their hard work this past year.

Congratulations

Our congratulations go to Ki Ki (Wong Yin Ki) of Year 9 who emerged as champion in the Yamaha Piano Kaleidoscope 2003 Final for Grade 4.  The competition was held in the Mini Theatre at Yayasan Sabah on March 30. Ki Ki won the competition playing Toccata (Opus 60 No. 4) by Dmitri Kabalevsky.

School Art Competition

The school is raising money for WWF Malaysia and Hutan through an art competition. Entries for the competition can be paintings, sculptures, photographs, computer generated images or any other type of art taking nature as its theme. Contestants will be asked to donate their artwork for an auction to raise money for the two conservation organizations. Entries should be submitted by the end of May to Ms Stansfield whom we must thank for being the driving force behind this worthwhile initiative.

A Reminder for Year 4/5 Pupils
