Dear Parents

Primary Department Information Evening

The Primary Department will be holding an information evening for all parents of ELC to Year 5 students on Tuesday 24th September at 7.00pm in the school library. This will begin with a brief presentation by the Principal, and then parents will be invited to follow their child’s teacher to the classroom to receive information on class procedures and the like.

Because some families have two or more children in the Primary Department, we have arranged the evening so that each classroom teacher will lead two twenty-minute information sessions, one after the other. This will allow parents to attend the presentation by the teacher of their first child, and then move onto the teacher of the second child for the next session.

Secondary Department Parents Evening

Unfortunately due to the power cut that the school suffered, this weeks parent evening had to be postponed. This will now be held on Thursday 26th September at 7.00pm in the school library. All parents of students in the Secondary Department are encouraged to attend this.

Donation of Books & Posters

Thank you to Mrs Anthea Lamb for her donation of a book on the Maliau Basin and posters to the school. These will prove to be very useful for the school’s environmental, geography and science programmes of study.

  PTA Request for Empty Jars

The school PTA seeks your support by donating empty clean and dry jam jars. These are being collected to assist Sri Mengasih, the school for the intellectually handicapped, who are in need of these for a fund raising bazaar they plan to organize in the near future. If you have any jars to donate, please drop them off in Mrs Anuar Ghani’s classroom (Year 4&5) by Friday 27th September.

After School Clubs

Yesterday the letter providing the options for after school clubs was sent home. Please make your selections of the clubs your child will be attending and return this to school by Monday 23rd September. Clubs will begin next week on Monday. These will be held from 2.30 – 3.30pm.

Mrs Gina Hamilton, together with the school PTA, will be holding a Coffee Morning to welcome new parents into our fold on Wednesday 25 September at 9:00am at her house (a map to her house is available from the school office on Monday). All parents are welcome.
