Dear Parents
A reminder that the school’s
AGM will be held on Thursday 28 November 2002 at 7:30pm, School Library.
Nominations of the new Board of Management have commenced, and its
progress can be noted from the Board’s notice board. Nominations forms
are available from the school office. Summarised
BOM Minutes: Minutes
of the current Board of Management are now posted on the Board’s notice
board for parents’ ease information. Parents who wish to have a copy for
ease reading may request a copy from the school office.
Today,
students in Year 2 – 5 went on a field trip to the Bird Sanctuary in
Likas as part of their topic on environments and habitats. Car
Park Area This
is a reminder to parents that all cars should be removed from the car park
before 8.00am. This is a safety issue both in terms of any classes wishing
to do PE, but also it assists us in our desire to be vigilant against any
unwanted intruders into the school grounds.
This
is a reminder that all students should wear the school hat when outside.
This includes before and after school, as well as during break times and
PE lessons. Please ensure your child brings their school hat to school
each day.
Whilst it is not compulsory, students are permitted to wear slippers or sandals to swimming. However, if they do so, they are expected to bring their normal school shoes to wear while not at swimming. |
Reception/Year
1 Guest Speaker I
would like to thank Mrs Abir Kamal for speaking to the students in Reception
& Year 1 class about Ramadan and Hari Raya as part of their studies on
world festivals. Danum
Valley Field Trip Forms Miss
Stansfield has requested that the return slips for the proposed field trips to
Danum Valley and the Rungus Long House in Kudat, be returned to school. She
needs to be able to check the viability of these trips, once all reply slips
have been submitted. Dates
to note:
FOBISSEA
Games The
membership of FOBISSEA, as a prudent response to government advisories on
travel and activities in the region, agrees to cancel all FOBISSEA Games
events, sponsored by the Federation, for this academic year (2002-2003).
The
PTA regret to inform parents that due to the poor outcome from the recent
survey, this event will now be CANCELLED.
