Dear Parents Curriculum
Evenings Two
curriculum evenings were held this week. One was for the parents of Year 2
– 9 students to explain the National Curriculum Test results that these
students will soon be receiving. The other meeting was for parents of Year
9 pupils to explain the new range of subject options available at GCSE
next term, these being ICT, business studies, and dual award sciences.
Both evenings were well supported and proved to be very successful. Careers
Week Next
week will be Careers Week for the Secondary Department. We have invited a
number of guest speakers to give presentations to the students about their
occupations. We have also arranged that some students will spend a couple
of days on work experience projects whereby they spend time working
alongside people in the occupation that they are interested in. ICT
Fair for Primary Department The
Primary Department will be holding an ICT fair on Friday 12th
July in the ICT room from 1.00pm – 2.00pm. Selected pupils from each
class will give demonstrations of the type of work they have been doing in
class and during ICT lessons. All parents are invited to view this work
during this time. |
