Dear Parents Coffee/Tea Morning The PTA has organized a get-together morning to
welcome new parents and say farewell to leaving parents. This will be held
at Mrs Rosmawati Knussi’s residence on Wednesday 26 June at 9:00 (map
attached). All are welcome.
Our Year 6&7 students went on a visit to the
Japanese School yesterday as part of our annual exchange with them. The
students had a very enjoyable time as they participated in a range of
activities that included calligraphic writing in Japanese characters, how
to wear a kimono and other cultural experiences. Science Field trip As part of their research project in science, Year 10
students traveled to Laura Wong’s house to use the treadmill machine to
measure the effects of exercise on heart rate. This proved to be a very
successful experiment. I would like to thank Mr & Mrs Wong for
allowing our students the opportunity of participating in this activity at
their home. Grade Cards Grade cards have been sent home today for all
Secondary department students. Vital Calendar Events Swimming
However, in any given class there are always some ten
students who do not swim. These are not always children who aren’t
swimming due to a temporary illness, but rather they are students who
habitually don’t join the lessons. As a school, we are not able to
arrange adequate supervision of so many children sitting out swimming at
the pool. All of our teachers are involved in teaching the various groups
of swimmers and therefore not in a position to supervise so many
non-swimmers. For reasons of safety, if you are unwilling to have your child included in the schools swimming programmes, then we request that you either come to the pool to supervise your child or take them home during the lesson.
