Athletics Sports

Despite the incredibly warm temperatures all of the students participated with enthusiasm and energy at yesterday’s Athletics Sports. Thank you to Cikgu Mutang for organizing the event. I would also like to express our appreciation to all the parents who helped as officials.

Sevens Football 25 March 2002

Well done to the seven-a-side football team who were 3-1 up against an All Saint’s seven-a-side team before making a 3-3 draw.  Thanks to the adults namely Mr Smit, Mr Vekic and Mr Doi who have assisted this term’s Football Club.

PTA Elections

Last week the AGM for the Parent Teachers Association was held and a new committee was elected. Mrs Hughes and Mrs Bursche stepped down as Chairperson and Treasurer after a very successful and busy two years in the positions. Both were instrumental in re-establishing the PTA a couple of years ago and have put a lot of work and effort in the school. On behalf of the students of the school I would like to express the school’s gratitude for their support. Similarly, I would also like to thank Alice Chung, Helen Wong, Silvia Møller, Vivian Yong, Pauline Lee, Margot Møller and Diane Dennis for their work as PTA members over the past year.

School PE Shorts

We have ordered a set of PE shorts for the school and these will be available after the April Holiday break.

Parent Teacher Interviews:  Secondary Department

There will be Parent Teacher Interviews for the parents of students in the Secondary Department. These will be held on Monday 8th April from 2.45 to 4.00pm and from 6.00 to 7.30pm. The letter to register for an interview is going home today.

 

School Movie Club

Yesterday Ms Dennis and Miss Johnstone organised the second outing of the School Movie Club. 45 students and parents attended the showing of the Ice Age. The children were ‘in fits of laughter’ throughout the entire movie (adults too). The next movie on the agenda will be E.T. More information will be given closer to the time.

Library Books

Next week will the last week in which students will be able to take school library and reading books. All books will have to be returned by Friday 5th April.

After School Clubs

Next week will be the last week for after school clubs this term. 

Swimming

There will be NO SWIMMING next week for Rec/Year 1, 2 and 3.  The children will be going to Sutera Harbour to watch the dress rehearsal of the Secondary Department’s production. There will also be no afterschool swimming club on Thursday 4th April.

Secondary School Production

The Secondary Department will be staging their Production of “Larry Potter & the Ring of Ascarod” on Thursday 4th April at the Sutera Harbour theatre. Tickets are now on sale from the school office. There is a limited number of seats available for this so please order your tickets early to avoid disappointment.

ELC and Primary Classes

On Thursday 4 April the children will be attending the dress rehearsal of the Secondary Production.  Children will need to be transported in cars, leaving 10:30am, returning 12noon. Class teachers will arrange parent drivers, if you are able to offer lifts to other children, please see your child’s class teacher.
