Dear Parents Maliau
Basin Trip A
small group of pupils and parents from the school have been invited to
visit Maliau Basin to welcome HRH Prince Hendrik of Denmark who will be
officiating at the laying of the foundation stone at the Park Study Center
this weekend. We are very privileged to have had this group of students
invited to the ceremony. It will not be an easy journey, as they will have
several hours of arduous traveling by plane and by four-wheel drive
vehicle. They will also have to camp overnight in tents so it will be a
real adventure. We wish them a very enjoyable trip and look forward to
hearing their stories when they return next week. I would like to thank Mr
Hans Møller for organising this opportunity for the school. FOBISSEA
Games Results Our team of athletes has returned from the FOBISSEA Games in Penang. As mentioned before, this is the first time we have sent a team to the Secondary School Games. Our team did us proud, winning six medals in swimming and athletics competitions. I have received several very favourable comments from other schools about our teams performance and excellent behaviour. I would like to congratulate all of the students involved and also thank Mr Dickinson for leading the group. |

4&5 Visit to Gaya Street Year
4&5 went on a visit to Gaya Street as part of their history and geography
topic. By all accounts it was a successful and informative trip aimed at
looking at how Kota Kinabalu has changed in the last fifty years. I thank Mrs
Anuar Ghani for organizing this. I would also like to thank those parents who
assisted her during this trip. |
