| About Us.............................................................. |
| In 1995 due to some family turmoil at the time, I needed a healthy outlet. I decided to get into dogsledding. So I did a little research on the northern breeds of dogs. The samoyeds beauty astounded me. At the time I was searching for a pair of sammy's to start my sled team but was unable to find any. I decided to settle for a pair of canadian eskimo sled dog puppies. They were the beginning of my present kennel. Two weeks after I got my first two pups, I found a litter of samoyeds and the rest if history. After getting my first sam, I knew they were the breed for me. A friend of mine gave me a business card of a breeder she got her sammy from. Kiana was the beginning of my future in samoyeds. Our kennel is not made up of only samoyeds, and you can read more about the others by clicking on other kennel buddies. In 1996, I met and married my husband Adam. In April on 1997 our son Zachary was born. My son is now 3 and enjoys all of the dogs as much as my husband and I do. Within the past year, I have been gungho in the dogworld. I have been actively showing my samoyeds in the confirmation breed ring. Sure has been a wild ride I will tell you that much. I sure have had fun spending time with my dogs. Showing samoyeds in the breed ring is not easy and takes alot of practice. One day when I was frustrated with the politics of dog showing my breeder asked me if I am happy with my dogs even when they don't win. Of course I replied yes, and he said "that's what's important". At the present time Kismet's SnoWhite Kennels is located in the nice area of Embarrass Minnesota. We also operate a boarding and grooming kennel as well. So besides our own dogs we take care of others in our kennel as well. The dogs play a big role in our lives. Operating a boarding kennel has always been a dream of mine and now it's coming true slow but sure. Thank you Judy Grumdahl for coming up with Kismet-which means future or destiny, sure does fit doesn't it? We occassionally have puppies available. Special planning and thought goes into the planning of a litter of puppies. My breeding dogs are OFA certified and have their eyes checked at the U of M in Minneapolis Minnesota by a veterinary opthamologist. My goal is to produce happy, healthy, and don't forget "typy" puppies! |
