Here are some of our other buddies...........................................
Big Mac Davey was my first samoyed.  Fron the first day I got Mac he has thought he is human.  Mac always tried to sneak up on the couch when he thought no one was looking.  Mac is a neutered pet male as he is just that-a pet.  You will be able to see why on his pictures compared to my other samoyeds.  Mac also has seizures which didn't show up until he was 3.  Which is another reason why he shouldn't and won't EVER sire a litter of pups.  Mac is an important part of my sled team and is currently working on his working titles and enjoying life.
Prince Caleb Sheldon is a black labrador retriever.  He was originally bought as a hunting dog of course but I don't have much time for hunting these days.  Caleb is the calming influence in my kennel as he gets along with everyone.  These days, Caleb has taken on a new role as a sled dog!  He now runs with my sled dogs.  It was quite a rude awakening for him the first time he tried to lift his leg on a tree while hooked up to five other dogs!  He is a quick learner.  Caleb is truely a multi-talented labrador-he can hunt and pull a sled!
Gus and Keeko are canadian eskimo sled dogs.  They are out of Steger and Wintergreen bloodlines.  They were my first puppies.  Boy did we have the experience!  Those puppies put me through hell.  They turned out to be very big dogs full grown and have drug me around on the ground plenty of times.  They are neutered and spayed as they are not the kind of dogs I want to produce.  They are big dogs and are very dog aggressive.  These days they are both settled into their team roles(not saying we don't have a squabble now and again) and enjoying life.
Sperling's King Ransom has been a very unexpected surprise.  He is a purebred Siberian Husky.  King was the last of his litter and a very cute puppy!  I couldn't resist him.  He is a neutered male as he isn't close enough to breed standard to reproduce.  King is the only siberian I know that can be let loose and he will actually come back when called.  When I look into King's eyes, I see love that is so unconditional and awesome that it will NEVER end.  King right now is one of my leaders in my dog team and loves running almost as much as he loves me!
Dewey is an alaskan husky.  His sole purpose for being born is to run!  He is a wheel dog in one of my teams and does his job well.  He loves people and most other dogs.  As with most alaskan husky's, he wouldn't make a very good pet as his desire to run is so strong.
