          Mr Tabibiri Tentau

Mr Tentau comes from the island of Nikunau. Born in Vanuatu but grow up in Kiribati. His father is from Nikunau and his mother a ni-Vanuatu. He speaks both Kiribati and Bislama as he does not want to loose his identity from both sides.

He was among the first lots to do their first year here at Emalus when the first year courses shifted from Laucala in 2000. Coming after a fresh celebration of the new millennium back home, Mr Tentau left his i-Kiribati tongue and wore the ni-Vanuatu Bislama that made KiLSA failed to give him a warm welcome as it considered him a ni-Vanuatu. Thanks his Kiribati name proved his Kiribati nationality.

He is doing his third year and will complete his LLB at the end of 2003. We have no doubt Mr Tentau would achieve all his goals since he is a hard-working man. When contacted about his future plans, he confidently told us that one day he will be a very successful 'businessman'. What about your future career?..KiLSA asked. "Oh forget about that..mmm..God guide me and will provide one which is significant to the lives of my people." he said and left without turning back as he refused to disclose and publicise all his further plans as he does not like others to copy him.

He is known as MR 'Polo-man', since he prefers using and wearing 'polo shirt', 'polo sprays, aftershaves, shoes and many other varieties of Polo brands.

His hobbies include: 'playing sorry', volleyball, basketball, and reading comics. As a vegetarian, he always excuses himself from eating fish, the main diet of an i-Kiribati.

He can be contacted at the Emalus Campus, PMB 072 Port Vila Vanuatu.
