The Man of the Year!!!!.....He is Mr Karotu Tiba. Based on our thorough investigation about this man, here are some of the details that you may like to know about him:

 He is from the island of Tabiteuea. He grew up there since his childhood and you could now assume that all cultures and other related identities of a Tabiteuean are all attained by this man. Normal size, height, weight and in his early 40s are some of the features that you must be interested to know.

He is married but still looks unexpectedly young. He has 3 children since he is often serious about family planning.

 What about his personal life....can we say something about it. Ok, but we will be careful, otherwise by the time we present in his court he will not favour us. One gossip we were very similar with about this man.."man ia hemi wan man hemi drink tumas alkaol...taim i drink tumas, oo taim hemi gat tumas kiaman mo fani (funny) stori."

The above characteristics may sound casual, but let us now focus on his profession.

 After a long struggle during his academic life, Mr Tiba is no doubt gaining his current position. He is a Senior Magistrate and will be our next Chief Magistrate and our respected Judge for Kiribati in future. Apart from his social life, his 'one-touch' concept made him (as a magistrate), a well respected and famous person. As also our most senior and elder, we honour him by calling him (in his kamona name) "UNIMWANE" (don't assume that his hair's white and his skin's soft --- no no no). This name reveals a man who deserves being the 'father' to all of us here at Emalus Campus.

 He had been our President in our association in 2000. He is doing his third year and hopefully to complete his LLB next year, 2003. Currently he is the Chief Electoral Commissioner in Kiribati.
