 Mrs Eweata Tominiko

Mrs Tominiko is one of our final year student this year. She comes from the southern end of Kiribati, Arorae Island. She completed her LLB degree at the first semester, 2002 and she is now at home working at the Attorney General's Office as a State Advocate.

She first came here at the Emalus Campus in 1999, after completing her first year in Fiji the year before. She had been our Finance Minister during the first semester in 1999 but because of unexpected social and family commitments, she decided to take up another post, "house-girl" during the second semester that year.

She is married to Tominiko Beiatau, officer at TSKL, and currently has two children: Terenga and Taomwaota. Her second daughter was born here at Vila Central Hospital in 2000. When contacted, she confirmed that they are planning to get a son and then seriously consider their 'family planning'.

Her talents include: volleyball, weaving traditional mats, cooking with traditional recipes, making traditional medicines, and many more.

Her favourite food is the curry chicken, consuming it with 'kamwaimwai' and 'te ben'.

She hates reading fictions however, she puts more efforts in religious activities.

She has been known by KiLSA members as the 'shortest member' and the woman who have many visions.

When Eveata and her family left us in June this year, we greatly missed her contribution and her active husband Tominiko who had assisted to the developments of the kava industry here in Vanuatu. Thank you Eweata and your family for all your contribution and participation to KiLSA. We wish you all the best and luck in all your future plans.

She can be contacted at the AG's Office, Bairiki Tarawa. However, she will be doing her 6-months Professional Diploma in Legal Practice (PDLP) in 2003.
