| Is that a chill in the air? Enjoy the tea and hot chocolate (the kitchen is down the hall if you prefer coffee). Help yourself to anything on the shelves and tables as well. I have more books, links and things up in the attic that I'm working on bringing down also. | |||||||||||||||||||||
| George MacDonald was a Scottish author who lived from 1824 to 1905. He is best known for his children's stories, though he wrote novels, sermons and poetry. A very informative page on "our GM" is The Golden Key. The site owner, Mike Partridge, has an email list as well. The Johannesens publish GM's books in their unabridged form. They have put some of the e-text versions up on their site. E Nesbit wrote a couple of very cute books that are up on the web. "The Story of the Treasure Seekers" and "The Wouldbegoods" are at The Victorian Women Writers Project. |

| I love Project Gutenberg! Here's the link to the Author Index and to the Title Index. Arthur Ransome was an English author who wrote stories about six children who had adventures on and around a lake during the holidays. As far as I know, none are online. New! The Man in Grey is a lovely story by the Baroness set a few years after the French Revolution. The whole etext is here! |

| Here are some quotes I have collected from here and there on the Internet. Here are the quotes I've jotted down from books or other places--ones I consider "my own". Here are my GK Chesterton quotes. I also have a page for my Baroness Orczy quotes (Scarlet Pimpernel) and my links. |
