He studied for a year or so at college and then decided to join the Navy meaning leaving his family and moving to Halifax. At the moment he is training to be a Naval Electronics Technician which may mean being transferred to another part of the country in February 2004.
Kirstie won an academic scholarship in 1992 and spent the next 5 years at private school. Upon graduation she completed part of a Law and Business course at University. After that she trained as a department manager for Big W ( the Australian Walmart) and then worked as admin/cashier at Autobarn. She moved to Halifax to be with William in March 2003 and thinks its ridiculously cold here.
After Will joined the Navy in November 2002 it was decided that I would come here to meet him and give things a try. So in March 2003 I made the 36hour trip to come and meet William. Right from the airport everything has been just right and we are ecstatically happy with each other. Despite what people believe talking everyday for 2 years enables you to get to know a person emotionally much quicker than if you were physically together. As a result we have been comfortable with each other from first sight, and its hard to believe that we've only just "met" so to speak.
The best day of our lives was when we finally got married on July 18th 2003..
