Shakespeare Garden is located inside of Golden Gate Park, at the corner of Martin Luther King Junior Drive and Middle Drive East, and within walking distance from the following well-know landmarks; The California Academy of Sciences, the Botanical Garden, and the Japanese Tea Garden.
(1) From East Bay: Cross the Bay Bridge (Hwy 80) and take Hwy 101 North. Take the Ninth Street Exit and follow signs to Fell Street. Continue with paragragh (4).
(2) From South SF: Take Hwy 101 North and exit at Fell/Laguna Street. Continue straight coming off the exit onto Fell Street.Continue with paragraph (4).
(3) From North SF: Cross the Golden Gate Bridge (Hwy 101) and take Hwy 101 South. Take the CA-1 ramp toward 19th Street Ave / Golden Gate Park. Merge onto CA-1. Continue on CA-1 and turn RIGHT onto Lake Street. Turn LEFT onto 14th Avenue. Turn LEFT onto Geary Blvd. Turn RIGHT onto Stanyan Street. Follow Stanyan Street and turn RIGHT onto Fell Street. Continue with paragraph (4).
(4) On Fell Street: Take Fell Street and stay in the RIGHT 2 lanes all the way into the park, where Fell Street crosses Stanyan Street and becomes John F. Kennedy Drive. Continue on John F. Kennedy Drive and turn LEFT at the first intersection onto Middle Drive East. Continue on Middle Drive East until it ends at Martin Luther King Junior Drive. Make a RIGHT turn. Shakespear's Garden will be on your RIGHT immediately after the turn. |
