Lord of the Rings
The Two Towers
Well, its about time a really good, serious movie is put onto my website. This movie was a masterpiece. Not to mention it was directed by my favorite director, Peter Jackson. Some of his other films were my favorite, Bad Taste and another good one called Dead Alive. Those both were two really great movies. But The Two Towers has few that stand up to its magestic qualities. I saw this movie seven times in the theatre and hope to make it more. I could see this movie until I was red in the face and still not be fed up with it. I know this movie like the back of my hand and enjoy every minute of it. The only thing that I can say I wish that would have been changed. If Pete Jackson can make Gollum talk to himself in the one scene that was portraying his multipersonality, which wasnt in the book, then he could have made it so that Haldir lived. You know the guy that brought all the elves from Rivendell to Helms Deep. Yeah that guy he was freaking awesome. Got a pic of him right here.
He was my favorite character, and still is, in the whole movie. I just wished it would have shown him kicking more ass. I would have been pleased with that. Even though he had some moments where he was taking out some enemies. But everytime I see this movie I find myself sitting there wishing and hoping that he will make it and of coarse everytime he doesnt but that doesnt stop me from hoping. Everytime he gets struck down I start yelling right in the middle of the theatre. I cant count how many times we have almost been kicked out.
Well this character you should all know, Legolas. He is my favorite of the Fellowship, which if you dont know, is the group that is destined to take the ring to mount doom and cast it into the fires where it once came. Legolas steals every scene he is in with his amazing bow action and sword work. I always love when he is standing on the hill when the orcs are charging on the Wargs while attacking the people of Rohan. And he is just picking them off one by one from like one hundred yards away. Then he does his famous mount whipping around the hoarses neck and landing on its back. That is always an eye opener. Legolas is very loyal to the Fellowship and will fight to the death for his compamions. He is by far the best in the Fellowship. I mean come on the whole bow thing, its kick ass.

Now here is another face we should all remember. Yeah remember the Goonies. Its Sean Astin at his best now in Lord of the Rings as Samwise Gamgee or Sam. He plays a hobbit that watches over Frodo(Elijah Wood) and saves his ass many times. He plays a little bit of comedy relief in the movie but he also plays the character that motivates Frodo to keep on going. Even though Frodo is being taken over by the ring Sam stays by his side the whole time and he has a really good victory speech at the end of the Two Towers. I swear I got a tear in my eye, nah who am I kidding.
Here we are now with the main hero of the Fellowship. Viggo Mortensen as Aragorn Aka Stryder. He is the heart throb of the movie that has won the heart of Liv Tyler, who plays Arwen. She is an elve that has given her life to Aragorn and he turned her down because he didnt want to put her in danger. WHAT WAS HE THINKING. COME ON. Nah just kidding. He is a loyal warrior in the Fellowship and gets himself into alot of sticky situations in The Two Towers. And yet he still manages to escape them all, call it luck? I call it bullshit, kill him LET HALDIR LIVE. MUAHHAHAHA. Anyway we are down to the last on my list.
Here we are with our last character on my list. Elijah Wood as The Almighty Frodo, the ring bearer, the man with the master plan, and the over actor. Oops that one slipped. This is the ring Bearer who is to cast the ring back into the fiery pits of Mount Doom from where it came. He has his battles with the power of the ring taking him over. Really all the scenes are is Frodo making weird faces in front of the camera. Its really goofy looking. I think that Frodo should tone down the acting a little. I think he was going for best actor in a few scenes because I mean whoa. But he does his best and he did good at it. I mean come on how else are you supposed to play a hobbit that is harmless and yet its getting evil. I think those cancel eachother out. Anway thats just a few good ones for better descriptions from well educated people as opposed to a movie geek like myself go to this site, thanks and enjoy the site.
