I was recently looking through my manga collection, and on the spur of the moment I decided to add up how much I'd spent on the darn things in the year or two I've been buying them.  The total came to somewhere over $700, not counting tax, so I think I know a little bit about the subject (or at least about obsession and poor budgeting... ()^_^).

So I've decided to share the love. ^_^  I don't have a scanner, so I can't put up actual pages (aside from the fact that I don't want to get my butt sued off for copyright infringement...), but I think my plan is the next best thing.  I want to tell you the stories.

Now, I love all things Gundam, I support the Vegeta For President Campaign, and I've considered naming my car (among other things) the Bebop, but I should tell you right now that the vast majority of my manga collection is shoujo (girls').  There are exceptions, such as Demon Diary and X/1999 (of course, most CLAMP creations don't really fit the standard genres; they're too narrow), but there's a definite bias. ^_^  I'm trying to branch out, but most shoujo manga are much more female-friendly in a non-sexist way (that is, after all, the point of them being shoujo in the first place...), so I'm more comfortable reading them.  Of course, any of you guys who've gotten this far past the purple backgrounds, cute My Little Pony icons, and roses plastered on everything probably won't be bothered by that, but still... =^_^=

Here's what I've picked up so far; hopefully I'll be able to really get to work on the actual storytelling soon.  Oh, and if you're interested in buying, I'd start with http://www.tokyopop.com
That's the publisher's webpage for most of what I have; that'll tell you U.S. release dates and the list price, so you shouldn't get ripped off too badly... ^_^
