Story:Cade/Eddie (PG) Authors Note(s): This is just a rambling thoughts piece possibly to be part of a series. I'm really only writing it for my own amusement. It's First Wave set in season 1. It's a pre-slash prologue type-piece but if you're not slash friendly I suggest you stop reading now. *** By: Kirinaj@yahoo.com I trust people too easily, that's my problem, that's a laugh. Here I am Crazy Eddie Nambulous, a naieve paranoid. I really don't get it you know. I believe him. I believe in him. I trust him with my life and I have the sneaking suspicion that I'd follow him into hell, follow him anywhere he asked. I just met him what in the hell am I thinking. Maybe it's hero worship I mean he's the twice blessed man, he's here to save the human race. Maybe it's the way he seemed to trust me, straight off he had no reason to but he did unconditional trust. He came back for me in the factory, he gave up the orb to save me. Kinda hard not to respond to something like that. I begged him to go but he didn't wouln't leave me there to die he barely knew me but he stayed anyway. His eyes, I can't get his eyes out of my mind. They are so intense, the way he looks at me when I talk, the way he watches me his eyes so serious. He needs to smile more, he's always so serious or sad or angry but when he does smile it's like for one second everything around him lights up and for one flash of light he lets go. When his eyes lock onto mine, there's so much in those eyes that I have to look away have to break contact so that I don't drown there. I've never known anyone like him that's what's so special about him why he's the saviour Nostradamus spoke of. And I nearly lost him, to some future that I'll probably never get to see. I thought I was doing fine before he came along. Had everything I needed but when I realised that now I need him. He saved me and I didn't even know that I needed saving. He's beautiful his energy his light his spirit, his strength, his incredible strength and he still looks to me. I wonder if he knows how much he means, to me, and to all those people who don't yet know that they need him. Someday I'll tell him. Finis *** "You wanted a believer and I needed to believe."
