5.25.04

I graduated a week ago.  We were required to write a five-minute summary of our senior theses.  So I wrote a poem.  It is called In Everything that Moves There Is a Stillness.

In our Christology class this semester, the professor gave us (explicitly this time) the option of turning poems rather than papers. Links to the first three (the only ones so far, though more will follow) are below.

Also, I've reorganized the poems page; it's in reverse chronological order now.

This semester one of my literature classes was Romanticism, which turned out to be excellent.  I was supposed to write a 10-page term paper at the end, but instead I wrote poems dedicated to various romantic poets: Blake, Coleridge, and Keats.  The poems are kind of rough because I was working under a deadline, but I like them.  Maybe one day I'll revise them, but not soon.

With the paper, I included a poem I had been working on for a while, which turned out to be relevant to the theme of Romanticism.  That one's called Mary Margaret.
