| Are Moroccan schools enough to educate?
. Role of school in Morocco is unessential; it doesnt give the students the opportunity to practise what they learn. Fore instance students learn in the Islamic lessons how to be disciplined, how to be sociable, the ideals relationship between people... but when theyre together they dont apply these principles while in their real life, theres no harmony between the theoretical ideas and practical reality where the students are living. In fact theres a gap between what they learn and they are doing, thats why we can say that school doesnt prepare students for the real life! the outside life! Take fore instance the problem of corruption, drinking alcohol... in Islamic countries these things should be forbidden and thats what we have been taught, but unfortunately, once outside schools, a student finds himself faced with opposed values contradictory principals from what he was taught. So, I think, the Moroccan school does not prepare its students to be good prospective citizens. |

| Wrong Orientation I cant help being surprised by the fact that almost all the students in Morocco prefer to follow scientific branches without enough abilities in its subjects. To my mind; gone is the time when children had to follow their fathers path. Today students should make sure of their capacity before choosing the appropriate orientation. Yet I currently notice that students in Morocco are more tempted by scientific branches although they dont have the right qualifications for it. In fact, almost all students think that; following a scientific branch will give them more opportunities to enroll in the best schools and institutions, thus its the best way to set up a better and upbeat future or an excellent carrier; while literary people cant afford a steady future and are the most touched with unemployment. Some other Students are influenced by their friends choices so they choose the wrong branch then they remain unable to fulfill. Other ones are just tempted by a scientific area so as to seem intelligent. Unfortunately students are foolish. They cant notice the obstacles that they may meet; besides, parents dont even try to convince their children to select the best orientation. Some parents, instead, try to convince their children to opt for a scientific branch thinking that what is needed today, overlooking the fact that their children may find it difficult to cop with the hard subjects. Therefore, they fail. The Orientation councilor doesnt help enough the students to make up their minds and see further the negative impacts of a wrong orientation. Many other reasons lie behind the students wrong choices; thereafter, students find themselves faced with serous problems with their studies and remain unable to cope with the other students the knowledge of whom is more advanced; thus they get very bad marks in their first years thereafter, could not pass the final exam. For those who are lucky they may pass it but with a borderline mark which cant allow them to carry on. While, if they had chosen the right orientation, they could have graduated with a very good grade and have more opportunities to enroll in the very opportune schools and universities. |
