Everybody's doing it! So they say
Everybody's drinking in our day.
Everybody's starting, you'll start too
So they say- but that's not true!

Everybody's doing it? No, not yet,
For I'm somebody- don't forget
Anyone with courage to step aside and think
Is sure to be somebody, I don't drink!

Many a "somebody" who fell into line
Became a "nobody" in almost no time.
Anyone can follow what the crowds do,
But I'm somebody. How about you?
