I recently watched a movie that was recommended to me by a friend. It was called "A Walk to Remember." There was a scene in the movie, which depicted a prime example of how peer pressure can lead to trouble. The movie began with a group of high school friends trespassing in the yard of an industrial plant. They had dared another boy who desperately wanted to be apart of the "cool gang," to jump from a very high tower down into a river. Feeling pressured as they cheered him on, he jumped. What do you think that spelled? T-R-O-U-B-L-E with a capital T. Sad to say that the boy ended up very seriously injured in fact he almost died.
Just a movie you say ? Well how badly do you want to be apart of a group? Will you risk your health, or even your life? How much do you think you are worth?
Doing something incredibly silly to become a part of a group is not worth it. Yes, they may be known by everyone but what are they known for? Being promiscuous? Being gossipers? liars? Do they tell lies on others just so they can look good instead? Or maybe a thieves do they steal money from their parents to buy the latest clothing, shoes or DVDS?
Ladies, don't fall into the trap that the young man did in the movie. For those who are going to the Prom this year enjoy it but don't lose your head and do something silly to be like everyone else. Don't go to a hotel room with your date just because others are planning to do it. Only one thing will happen there want me to spell it out? T-R-O-U-B-L-E!
Also, don't drink liquor on that night just because your friends might want to. Get home at a reasonable time or the time agreed on by your parents. The longer you stay out the more temptations will come. Don't let your friends put pressure on you but you put the pressure on them and say N-O........... NO!! By doing this you will stay out of T-R-O-U-B-L-E
