(Use
at your own risk!)
In order to customize the
client I added visual clues to shields, combat computers, and relative
aggressiveness of opponent. I then added additional detail reports that you get
from hovering the mouse over the Heads Up "fighter" "planet"
"starships" and port types to give valuable information. Now I have
added the Kirellii Menu to let the novice player experience the game from
"my style". A lot of you will wonder at the logic behind sharing the
logic I use. Many people don't understand me and I change mood during play and
don't always answer the radio. This is an attempt to share with you how I
command the bridge of an intergalactic starship. As always, I love helping
newbies ? and this is a good introduction to play not related to politics of
teams. When using my style, it is recommended that you don't use a ship you care
about as it may get some of my Reputation rubbed off onto the hull. I am hunted
throughout space for a reason.

If it is proceeded by a <

If it is proceeded by a > then you have enabled the right click option.
If it is proceeded by a = then you have chosen left and right click options.
And of course nothing before the option means turned off.
For those who need an added
clue, they change color according to my desire when toggled.

Kirellii Menu : left and right click return to regular menus. ONLY RIGHT
CLICKING ON YOUR CURRENT SECTOR TURNS OFF/ON KIRELLII TACTICIAN. I enable stops
in the Tactician to help out ; )
Deploy Fighters : Left click deploys 10 defensive
fighters over planets. Right click deploys 10 defensive fighters over planets.
Deploy
Spies : Left click deploys 10 spy fighters over planet/port
combo sectors. Right click deploys 10 spy fighters over ports.
Destroy Ships : Left click attempts to destroy ships
without fighters protecting them. Right click attempts to destroy ships with
less than 75 fighters protecting them.
Destroy
Fighters : Left click attacks small groups of fighters with
20 fighters. Right click attacks all groups of fighters with 20 fighters.
Destroy
Def Forces : Left click automatically retreats upon
challenge. Right click will stop in the pop up attack/retreat/self destruct
menu.
Deploy Kat Sign : Left click deploys
a Kat Sign over Equipment Ports when alcohol present. Right click deploys a sign
over the next Port seen when alcohol present.
Fortify
with Bases : Left click deploys type 1 defensive bases.
Right click upgrades bases if possible on sight.
Computrade (30) : Left click performs 1 Kat
computrade. Right click allows 30 computrades.
Buy/Retrieve
Fighters : Left click picks up deployed fighters when seen
and makes more if you have 100K and a planet is handy. Right click makes 40
fighters when you have less than 100 and over 50K of cash or more than 300K of
cash.
Nudge
Ports : Left click breaks up planet port combos by moving
the port. Right click makes planet port combos by moving the port. Sometimes
ports get stuck in nebulas. (You still need a tractor device.)
Warp
Planets : Left click breaks up planet port
combos by moving the planet. Right click makes planet port combos by moving the
planet. Sometimes planets get stuck in nebulas and moving ports will always take
precedence as it is more expensive usually. (You still need a tractor device.)
Jettison Cargo : Left click will jettison iron and
alcohol upon seeing a planet. Right click jettisons all cargo when a planet is
present.
Land and Fill? Left click will jettison partial cargo
loads and land on the planet seen. Right click will land on a planet when seen
if the ship is empty. Used in conjunction with the Jettison proper command this
empties a planet. On landing however, the captain must determine what to load
still.
Port/Scoop
: Left click will scoop a planet port combo and computrade once upon completion.
If you don't have a stat module, Left click will not scoop. Right click will
scoop a planet port combo if you don't own a scooper. If you don't own a
scooper, both options will stop the ship.
Build
Ship/TP Stop : Left click stops at the next Equipment port.
Right click stops at the next Equipment port if you have 60K cash.
After much conjecture by
some of my friends about my Gypsy playing style I decided to add a few of my
features to assist players. Now normally when one moves about you lose track of
things you have seen or would like to do something about. If you don't have a
strong sense of home turf and a farm to sit on in a nice bunker or under an awe
inspiring base, you are left wandering from Neutral Fighter hangout to parts
uncharted. Now I happen to think of the whole Universe as my oyster, but every
now and then something needs adjusting and I don't want to take time for
detailed notes. That is where the Kat Reports come in handy. I share them with
you in hopes of inspiring you as I am inspired. Many people think my
explanations vague and when others say such things as do the math, they have no
idea. Even when you SHOW someone the relative sizes of things and COLOR them
according to the contents, you wind up answering very simple questions.
I figure most of you will
fall into three categories.
(1) The first are those who
take better notes than this anyhow and don't need my gentle assistance.
(2) The second will say - this is great - I know just how I will use some or all
of them - you are the best Kat!
(3) The last will blissfully ignore them and never enter the Kirellii Tactician
Menu and once again, not pay any performance penalties for avoiding this
upgrade. For those last all I can say is at least you are getting the latest
GLUT and Cygwin DLLs and everything might work even better for you now.

Each Option will either
toggle between being ON or OFF or be activated with the <, >, = notation
showing that either the left (usually BEST) or right (usually WORST) or equal
meaning BOTH options are turned on. Each option will keep track of the best or
worst 10 of that item. Purely the last 10 Neutrals, Wormholes, Ships, and
Blackholes are kept in those lists.
Katreport Capture
(ON/OFF)
When Katreport Capture is toggled ON, this information will be collected upon
entering a new sector or getting a sector update. The latest information will be
kept and sorting may occur as needed. When Katreport Capture is toggled OFF, no
information is collected. Right Clicking Katreport Capture will turn all capture
features ON or OFF. Left Clicking will allow you to choose individual lists.
Katreports
View (ON/OFF) This option will toggle off all capturing of
data when turned ON. Then all you need to do is Left Click or Right Click to
choose reports listed below.
Clear
/ Clear ALL This option will either turn ON the Clear
feature when you Left Click and you can left or right click on each option to
erase that top 10 list. If you Right Click then ALL the lists are instantly
cleared.
I have made it so that you
can collect, clear some, and continue collecting to your hearts content and even
pick up where you left off. This information is only as good as when you visited
the sector last. Many people will ask why not just put a database behind the
application for each Captain's use and the reasoning is that this method is
approved for giving to you and that method is not.
