To Whom It May Concern:

I am pleased to write this letter of recommendation for Ms. Stephanie L. Kirby as part of her application for employment. I have known this student through several years of courses in Religion that I have offered at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington in which Stephanie proved to be studious, conscientious, attentive, and very willing and able to interact with me and the other students in the classroom format. She is bright, articulate, and personable, and would represent this university and its student body well.

Stephanie undertook and completed a special project for our department in which she was able to showcase her skills. As Editor of the Newsletter of the Department of Philosophy and Religion, she not only researched, organized, and wrote most of the articles herself, but she also coordinated the efforts of several other writers and produced this publication using computer software. Her great enthusiasm for this project has resulted in positive comments from the subjects of these articles and from the readers of the Newsletter. Stephanie further assisted me in this endeavor by offering valuable suggestions from the student’s point of view that have resulted in the enhancement of various aspects of our Newsletter. We were pleased that she also assisted in the next year’s issue as well.

Stephanie is a mature individual who is dedicated to the pursuit of knowledge and is fully capable of assimilating and interpreting new and sensitive information. She is active socially and is able to communicate and identify with her peer generation. On a personal level, I found Stephanie to have a high degree of integrity and to possess strong and well-informed moral values. She is dedicated to her professional interests and is highly motivated to accomplish her goals. Through my long-term association with this student I can verify that she is continuing to develop as a mature articulate individual. I can gladly recommend this young woman for employment in any field of endeavor.

Sincerely,

To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing on behalf of Stephanie LeAnn Kirby. I have known Stephanie for approximately twelve years.  During these twelve years, while attending the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, I worked with her at School-age Program and Educational Center (SPEC) Daycare in Wilmington, NC.  She worked as Lead Teacher with children from the ages of 5 – 12.

Stephanie is responsible, independent, personable, and open-minded.  In classrooms at the daycare, and casual conversations, I have witnessed Stephanie’s educational curiosity, her respect for others who may differ from herself, her excellent interpersonal skills and her intelligence.  She has easy rapport with children and their parents, is mature, and shows reasonable judgment in conflicting situations.  I know of no one who dislikes her.

In conclusion, I recommend Stephanie to you without reservation.  If I can provide other useful information, please contact me.

Sincerely,

To Whom It May Concern:

I am Audrey J. Abrams, a science teacher at Hopewell High School in Huntersville, NC. I had the pleasant opportunity to work closely with Stephanie in the summer of 2004 during her employment with Duke Youth Programs as a residential counselor.

As co-workers, we regularly aided in the planning and coordinating of several events, and I found that Stephanie was always a team player and a reliable associate. As a teacher, I realize the importance of patience and authority when working with students. During the program, Stephanie performed wonderfully. She consistently demonstrated patience with the younger students and maintained discipline with the older students. Moreover, her rapport with the students was equally admirable in that the students felt comfortable communicating their concerns to her.

Stephanie is someone that children and youth learn to know and respect. She is a sincere, ambitious, and bright woman; a good candidate in all respects.

Sincerely,

Audrey Jeanine Abrams

To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing on behalf of Stephanie Kirby. I believe she would be a wonderful asset to any team she is decided to join.

Stephanie volunteered and worked for the Tobacco Farm and Life Museum all though her high school years and the summer of her first year of college. I was a joy working with her for almost five years. She assisted with special events, working specifically with children’s activities and was a leader for three years of our week long summer day camp.

Other duties Stephanie performed as a volunteer have included daily opening and closing of the museum, guest check-ins, working in the gift shop, and assisting in special projects. She was always able to do every job required of her and volunteered for extra duties as well.

On a more personal level, I have always found Stephanie to be dependable and prompt to fulfill her duties. Her ability to adapt to the situation’s needs and make the best out of any circumstance made her an invaluable part of any activity she participated in.

If you have any further questions, please contact me. I have happy to recommend her in any way possible.

Sincerely,
