About the WRS

Netbug here. Have you ever opened up a fan fiction to read, but found the characters poorly written, and yet nobody had said anything or given any contructive critisism?

The truth is, while OOC (Out of Character) fan fiction isn't a good writer's fault, they could be doing a lot more to help prevent it.

The problem is, most writers who notice an OOC fic tend to ignore it, leaving nothing but other writers who are unexpirienced to review the work. The writer think the fan fic is amazing, and continues to write in the same way. The longer this goes on, the harder it gets to reach through to the writer in many cases.

This bugs me. While some writers seem to want to destroy any and all people who say anything bad about their fic, there are also many who are open to constructive critisism and could be part of a better group of new writers if people took the time to say something, but nobody seems to bother.

So, It's time we start making a promise to fight poorly written characters, whether they be canon characters made OOC, or the original characters (Mary Sues as many call them.) that end up making the canon ones OOC. Making a promise to help new writers inspired this.
