David was a speaker for NMSS here at the Oregon zoo it was a blast...I waited about 2 hours to get his book to the left,and the autograph up top (he signed a page in my book) It was well worth it though!!

Dx with MS: in 1984 at age 36
Marriage status: Married with 1 daughter
David has starred in many shows and movies,but the one I remember best is "Lavern & Shirley",he played "Squiggy"
from 1976 to 1983.
David didn't tell anybody he had MS,because he was afraid
it would interfere with his acting roles...He kept it a secret for
15 years! He "came out of the MS closet" about 2 years ago,
and now is a spokesperson for the National MS Society...In
fact,I listened to him speak (July/2001) I than waited in line
to get a photo with him,and he autographed a book of his for
me. His book is titled "Fall Down Laughing" it's about his life,and how he dealt/deals with Multiple Sclerosis...His book
is hilarious and honest!! I'm just glad that I am not the only
one who likes to have a laugh with this disease at times...
