Icon- is defined (by dictionary.com no less)as: an image; a representation. An important and enduring symbol, A picture on a screen that represents a specific file, directory, window, option, or program. or One who is the object of great attention and devotion; an idol.
my icons are for livejournal or deadjournal(you can use them for other things i just don't know what) i don't need to be credited. but i'd like a comment in my lj or (when i get one) on my guestbook. just so i know what people like and etc.
