OM SHIVA RAMA KRISHNA

MARUTYADI RUPAYA NAMAHA

                                                                                                                                   - Sai Ashtothram

Dear Guru bhandhus,

Sairam! God is one but His forms are many. It is our great fortune to be attached to the recent, ever active, all merciful, immediately answering form of Him namely Sadguru Sainath of Shirdi. All know how Baba gave thrilling proofs to His oneness with other forms during His physical life and continues that even now. The all-knowing motherly Baba monitors every moment the welfare of His infinite number of devotee-children. Whenever some troubles are about to befall them, just as remedial measures or whenever He is pleased to confer them some added blessings, He inspires them to have some additional, powerful prayers. Not only that, He provides every need, support and idea to perform them to His satisfaction. The beauty is even the concerned devotee will not be conscious that he is being protected.

Accordingly when the entire globe was reeling under terrorism etc. he inspired us to have an Akhanda Athirudrabhishekam in 2002, at the Datta kshetram Gangapur. The ecstacy, contentment etc. felt by the participants made them to dream the same yagna at Shirdi, their heaven. Baba sanctioning their genuine prayer the first ever Akhanda Athirudrabhisheka Sapthaham at Shirdi went off in 2004, just like a dream, with the full-fledged co-operation from Shirdi Sai Sansthan. Words fail to describe the enthusiasm, ecstacy, the divine presence prevailed during the great yagna.

As per the tradition the organizers extended heart felt invitation to every possible form of God to participate in the above Shiva Sai durbar of whom Lord Kashi Vishwanath was also one. As the prayer was about Himself i.e. Rudram and the performance must have pleased Him like anything, in a highly subtle manner with a divine inspiration from Him, the third Akhanda Athirudrabhishekam is going to be held at Kashi (Varanasi) between 03-03-2005 Thursday and             10-03-2005 Thursday to be described below: The venue will be the Hanuman Mandir, Hanuman Ghat Varanasi.

Features:

 1) Any prayer in a holy place, during an auspicious time, that too congregationally is bound to confer abundant grace from God. Need is there to describe the glory of Kashi? The nerve center of the spiritual life of the entire Bharat, Kashi is so sacred where under the motherly care of Gangamai, saints, sages and pious people perform their worship day and night. Also the programme is going to take place on the very bank of Ganga, in the sacred month of Magha, with the most auspicious Maha Shivarathi falling on 08-03-2005.

 2) The programme is going to be organized by a committee fully supported by Dattaguru Bhandara Trust Gangapur. The above trust performs holy sevas of Nitya annadanam and Nirantara Sai nama sankirtanam at the famous Datta kshetram Gangapur in the name of Sri Sadguru Sainath Maharaj of Shirdi and Sri Narasimha Saraswathi Swami Maharaj, the fifth and second avatars of Lord Dattatreya. The entire programme is an amalgam of tradition and Sai philosophy, open to everybody irrespective of caste, creed etc. having faith in Sadguru Sainath.

Traditionally, eventhough many of this great yagna of Athirudrabhishekam had been already performed, the uniqueness of this Athirudrabhishekam lies in its continuous performance for 7 days without break! In it atleast 15000 Namakkams and 1400 Chamakkams, parts of Rudram will be chanted. On 08-03-2005 (Mahashivrathri) and 10-03-2005 again (totally) with one tenth of the above count of the same Rudram, Rudra homam will be performed.

 3) Everyday only once with 11 abhishek items (Ekadaso Dravyams) abhishek will be done, continued with water.

 4) To augment the benefits derived by the devotees from Lord Shiva even His pariwar will be propitiated. The appropriate deity of everyday will be worshipped with homam in honour of him/her with due formalities and special naivedyams.

 5) Everyday between 7 P.M and 7.30 P.M. additional spiritual feast with selected portions from Vedas and ancient compositions will be chanted. On the concluding day as per tradition godanam and other poojas will be performed. The climax portion of the entire programme will be vasodara, participation in which gives such a bliss to devotees.

 6) A group of about 40 vedic pandits will conduct the programme. On Shivarathri day abhishek will be performed with thirthams from all possible holy rivers like Kaveri, Godavari, Narmada, Bheema, Amaraja etc.

Extra Special Feature - Prayers for Tsunami victims.

7) Sharing the sufferings of those under distress is a basic principle in Sai philosophy. As the practical application of it two sevas are going to be performed as part of this Athirudrabhishekam.

While various aids for the relief of the surviving victims of the recent, unexpected,Øvast calamity namely Tsunami have been given, nobody knows how many deceased souls are suffering, in what manners.. Only the Almighty is capable of giving them relief i.e. Sadgati. Purely for conferring them sadgati, to appease the Almighty additional prayers with vedic and other compositions will be performed from 7.30 P.M to 8.00 P.M everyday.

Ø     With the same idea annadanam will be performed every noon at Dasaswamedh ghat near Kashi Vishwanath temple.

This Athirudrabhishekam in reality is a thanks giving ceremony to God for having given our rare human births and for the grace so far received and yet to be received. His devotee children are praying Him in the form of Rudra to have His durbar with full pariwar during this maha yagnam. Soliciting Him to have His throne in the holy Shiva Lingam, they are going to bathe Him with feelings of gratitude in the forms of various abhishek items to the accompaniment of holy Rudram. Yielding to their prayers Lord Shiva is going to confer His choicest blessing on the participants. More over participation in it will be the best expiation or pariharam for all the sins already committed, particularly any forgotten vows to be fulfilled.

Ordained by the Lord this great yagna, the panacea for each and every trouble of the devotees is so easily made feasible by even normal devotees, just by sharing a meager portion of the total expenditure and without any other exertion.

After going through the details, devotees have to choose their desired categories of participation in the yagna, contribute the prescribed amounts, giving particulars of their names, gothrams and addresses, for which signed receipts will be given. On the starting day sankalpam will be got performed by them if they are physically available. For those not present the sankalpam will be done for them by a prohit specially appointed for the purpose.  On Maha Shivarathri day  i.e. 8-3-2005, participants  for Rudrabhishekam only will be allowed to do abhishekam with their own hands for one full Namakkam and one anuvakkam of Chamakkam. After the yagna prasad will be distributed to the concerned devotees.

For this yagna, call Him Sai or Shiva or with any name you like, He is the only organizer and Dattaguru Bhandara Kashi Athirudram committee is only His humble  privileged physical representative. On His behalf it humbly requests every one to nicely exploit this highly rare, much rewarding opportunity and be blessed.

Participate in Athirudram and partake full Devamrutham.

Bow to Sai Shiva peace be to all.
