Michelle can almost control the minds of some animals using her ability to tune them into her will and focus their attention. Touch or a strong connection (such as with family and friends) also boost her effectiveness.
Limits:
Higher level empaths, telepaths, etc may be able to block her influence with a little effort. Munnies and other Evolves are more likely to be affected.
History:
Michelle's background his humble indeed. Her family started out four generations ago as peasants. Shortly after the Badeau family ascended to power, her great-great-grandfather earned a position as a stablehand. The family's skilled work and their loyalty to London allowed them to climb quickly. At the age of thirteen, Michelle was selected to become a handmaiden for one of the young Ladies of the Buckingham House. Michelle loved her work and was a fine example of a willing lady, even if she did make novice mistakes from time to time. As the years went on she managed to befriended her Lady, as well as several others within the Royal Court. Including the young Prince of London, Etienne Badeau. Their connection was almost immediate and it wasn't long before they became secretly entangled in a relationship.
Among Michelle's other friends was Thomas Courtland, a knight of the Buckingham House. The two often spent time together, sneaking around to talk in private. After a nice of conversing over too much wine, a friendly touch led to something more intimate. Michelle immediately confessed her infidelity to Tien. The affair caused a temporary rift in their relationship, but the pair knew their feelings were undeniable, and things were on the mend. A few months after, Michelle seemingly fell ill. Her appetite waned, her stomach turned, she first lost then gained weight. The Lady she served was the first to figure out Michelle's affliction: she was pregnant. Young and unmarried such a birth was frowned upon. She was very suddenly out of a job, and threatened with banishment and dishonor of their family name. When Tien caught word of this he acted quickly, bringing Michelle to the House of London and finding her a job there..despite the frequent and vocal protests of his own family.
Under the supervision of the best doctors in London and with her love's care, her pregnancy and the birth went smoothly, and she was blessed with a healthy baby boy, Jacob. Thankfully Etienne took to young Jacob right away. So much so that he chose to become the boy's father by proposing marriage to Michelle just a few months later. Again, this was to the horror of the Badeau family. Michelle was from poor lineage with a bastard child. She was unsuitable for the throne. However, she bore their insults with quiet grace and Tien would not be swayed from his position. The couple was soon married, and through that union Michelle became the Princess of London.
It was several years before Michelle and Tien were able to have a child of their own. Unlike before both pregnancy and birth were difficult for Michelle. Their daughter Nathalie was born seemingly healthy, but as she aged something was clearly wrong. Despite the best medicine available, her mind was never quite 'right'. Despite all this, the family remained together and mostly functional.
Today, Michelle rules as Queen at Tien's side. Because of her own ancestry she feels closer to them than most of the aristocracy, and more in tune to their hardships. She is viewed as a champion of the poor, working to improve conditions in the lowest parts of London.
