A Present Given

Kira, a girl of fourteen years, jumps into the safety of the shadows behind a boulder. She’d been told to hide here until the danger had subsided. As she peeks her head from behind, a lurid image appears in front of her.

"You will not harm these children..." a tall yellow figure says weakly as he struggles to his feet. His name was Dias..the male Renamon. He had met Kira just a few hours ago, along with Sakura and Kev. Though Kira usually traveled alone now-a-days, she would usually travel for a couple of days with different people.

Before Dias was Beelzemon, whom was now pointing his guns at him as well as Kev. Kira just watches at the mouth of the cave behind the boulder. She feels so useless now. Not only did she lose her second digimon in battle, but she had no way of defending herself. She hated to be the one to be rescued, but what was she going to do? As the others kept babbling, thoughts flood into her head. A memory, to be exact.

"Mistress Kira...you must leave now...I will protect this village even if it costs me my very life. Please understand.." With one swipe of his hand, Wizardmon placed his partner into a bubble-like structure and dispatched her to the winds. Turning around to face the village’s terrorist, Wizardmon stared at him square in the eye from under his wizard’s hat.

"Wizardmon!! You can’t face him! He’s too strong for you! You have to let me fight along side-" To her horror, the terrorist, Beelzemon, had already pulled the trigger on his gun.

"Double Shot!" he yelled out in fury as the two bullets headed towards Wizardmon. With no chance, Wizardmon falls to his predestined demise. The meniacal laughter could be heard by Kira as she watches the rest of the village being demoslished.

Overhead her partner’s egg was floating to its birthplace...Primary Village.

"Kira...I-I want to tell you something.."

Suddenly breaking from her trance, she notices that Kev was standing in front of her, making her blink a couple of times. His face was colored crimson as he seems to shake out of pure nervousness.

"Before he does, I’d like to give you something, Kira.."

Beelzemon steps up toward the boulder with Dias closely behind. Blinking a couple more times, she instinctively backs away from him. Wasn’t he the Beelzemon that destroyed her Wizardmon? Her Wizardmon...the second digimon that she was given by this world.

"Heh...don’t worry your pretty face off..." he says this with a smirk on his face. "I’m just here to deliver something to you, that’s all."

"You" she says this, her voice lowers full of anger. She lifts her head up, staring Beelzemon square in the face. "You were the one that destroyed my Wizardmon!" By now her eyes were full of sorrow and rage.

"Whoa...whoa you got it all wrong, kid. I wasn’t that Beelzemon, trust me..." Taking out a glowing ball from a small traveling bag, he presents it to her. "I told you. I came here to deliver this...It’s a spirit..."

Looking at the object, she blinks slightly. Spirit? Wasn’t that what allowed human children to digivolve into warriors? Was this what the Candlemon at the village were...no couldn’t be. Why would she be picked anyway?

"Wait a second...How do we know we can trust you?" From behind Beelzemon, Dias raises this question. Beelzemon just smirks, turning his head towards Dias.

"Frankly I don’t care whether you trust me or not. That’s not my place to judge. I just came here to deliver this to Kira Yukimoto and that’s all. That is your name right?"

She nods slightly as she slowly takes out her D-3... "I have one question though...How come I get this spirit when I don’t have the right model digivice?" A bright ray emits itself from the small ball of light it originally came from and points itself at the young girl. As the ray of light envelopes the D-3 as well as the girl’s hand, she feels it transform with her own palm. As the light slowly fades away a new digivice model appears in her hand. She stares at it and the new spirit inside, trying to soak what just happened in her head.

"That’s Socerymon...Legendary Sage of the Digital World..."
