Pick Your Own Fantasy Football Team (PYT rules)
Championship during Week #17 You do the math two players each week times 16 weeks equals 32 teams. Everyone (except for maybe the #1 seed) has used all there players. During the championship game the two line-ups will be made from any of the NFL teams (most likely the ones that have something to play for). The two teams in the finals will select THREE (3) QBs, 3 RBs, 3 WRs and one tie-breaker kicker. The higher seeded team gets first choice of kickers, but it is possible (although unlikely) that the same nine player could be selected to win their owners a championship.

Seeding The #7 has already been explained above. The #1 seed is HUGE. Here is how you earn it. There are five possible sections to this game. Each one counts as 20% toward determining the #1 seed. Head-to-Head champion 20%, Survivor champion 20%, In-season Tournaments 20% (10% Tournament of Champions champion and 10% Eight-man field champion), Points champion 20% and overall point total leader 20%. The overall points total breaks ties if two players have the same percentage. Seed numbers 2-6 are determined first by remaining above percentages and second by OVERALL POINT TOTAL.

Please keep in mind that you submit a line-up each week (or use default list) even if you have been eliminated from trying to earn a play-off spot during that stage or if you have already clinched a play-off spot. You still want to gain the highest seed possible.

The scoring for the league is the same as the Survivor league

In this FANTASY FOOTBALL league you have total control over who you play each week. It is called Pick Your Team Fantasy Football (PYTFF or PYT). THERE IS NO DRAFT! Each week you will select two (2) QBs, two (2) RBs and two (2) WRs to play during the NFL week. However, once you use that player or even more accurate the teams position then they are BURNT for the season. Unfortunately, you will not be able to use BOTH M. Harrison and R. Wayne during this season ONLY one Colts WR.

Now, how do I make this complex enough to be fun and challenging, but not so complicated that no one understands the rules or strategy but me? That is my struggle because I want it to be an accomplishment to EARN a play-off spot, but I also want players to have a reason to continue playing half way through the season (even up to the last week). I am going to try to keep interest HIGH throughout 14 weeks of the regular season.

I must have 12 players and the fees is $12. So how do I play? For now pick a color (either Red, White or Blue) and a conference AFC or NFC, either city or nickname. Then just send me an e-mail each Friday before midnight (Thursday by 6:00 if there is a Thursday game). See below. AND READ THE RULES, you might even pick up some strategy if you try!

There are four stages to this game Head-to-head, Survivor, Tournament Play and Points League before the season ending tournament.

Head-to-Head (Weeks 1-4) The 12 teams will be broken into three divisions of four. The first three weeks of the NFL season, we will play a head-to-head round robin schedule within your division. Then during Week #4 the three division champions will play to determine the Head-to-Head champion and runner-up. All 12 team submit a line-up during Week #4 (championship round of this stage. How your team finishes this stage will determine your teams seed 1-12 for the survivor portion (second stage) of the schedule. The Head-to-Head champion and runner-up guarantee positions in the season ending tournament.

Survivor (Weeks 5-8) During these weeks there will be four divisions of three teams based on the Head-to-Head finish. No one is eliminated during Week #5 that score is added to your Week #6 score for the first eliminated player in each division (End of Week 6 down to 2 from 3 in each division). During week #7 the two remaining teams battle for the right to reach the championship of the Survivor Round (End of Week 7 one remaining team in four divisions). During Week #8 a Survivor Champion and Runner-up are named and they both qualify for the season ending tournament. NOTE: The third place team could earn a season ending play-off spot, if the Survivor Champion or Runner-up has already qualified from Head-to-Head. Bottom line is there are four teams that have earned play-off spots.

Tournament Play (Weeks 9-11) The eight teams that have not qualified for the season ending tournament will play a three week tourney to determine another spot for the play-offs. The winner of this tournament locks up a play-off position. If you lose in the Week #9 you still submit a line-up, just like every other week. The four teams that have already EARNED a play-off spot will compete in a tournament to help determine the #1 seed and first round BYE in play-offs.

Points League (Week 12-14) All 12 teams play in the same group and after three weeks the team who scores the most points for this stage (and has not already qualified for the play-offs) earns a play-off spot in the season end tournament. That makes six guaranteed teams for the play-offs.

Wildcard Team A seventh team will earn a play-off spot for scoring the most points for the entire season and not qualifying by one of the above means. This team will be seeded seventh in the tournament even if their point total is greater than any of the six who earned play-off spots from above.

Tournament (Weeks 15-17) The seven seeds battle for the championship of the PYTFF league. Earning the #1 seed is valuable, because you do not have to play an opponent during week #15, you also only have to submit one QB, RB and WR. This means during semi-final Week #16 the #1 seed will have three QBs, three RBs, and three WRs to pick two from while his opponent must play the six players left from his list BIG Advantage!
ABOUT SUBMITTING YOUR LINE-UP ...

You must turn in six names (not teams, not positions)
2 QBs, 2 RBs and 2 WRs ... they two (2) can not be from the same team (ie cannot use both Harrison  and Wayne)

Deadline mentioned above is midnight Friday ... I will have a 23 hour GRACE period until Saturday night at 11:00 p.m. I will not accept line-ups Sunday morning ... PERIOD. Your default list will be used if you miss the deadline.
