| Big Ten Fantasy Basketball League RULES | ||||||||
| Hi guys, We are getting closer to the start of the Big Ten season and we have less than a week before the start of the 2005-2006 BIG TEN FANTASY BASKETBALL LEAGUE that will begin on Friday, December 30th. Unlike last season all 11 teams play between Friday 12/30 and Sunday 1/1/06. If we start this week we will have two divisions and a 10 game season like last season. The Draft will begin NOW and we need to be finished by Friday at 6:00 p.m.. It will be via the internet. With only 48 players being selected it shouldn't take very long if we can all get together which is difficult I know. My draft order list is complete, so if you wish to simply submit a list of your top 50 players that will be fine. Here is the draft order ... Number Division 1. Hogan 2. Doug 3. Steve 4. Sosamon Letter Division 5. (A) Kip 6. (B) Ryan F 7. (C) Mike 8. (D) MJ - Matt and Jarrod are teaming again. BIG TEN BASKETBALL Fee $15 X eight (8) players = $120 Please send check to Kip Wesner at 3645 Toronto Court, Indianapolis, Indiana 46268 as soon as possible. If you play in another league and are expecting a pay-out please contact me individually. You draft six (6) players (regardless of position) to fill your roster. You start any five players each week. Your 6th is a sub that will help as a tie-breaker. League begins Friday, December 30th (Games against NON Big Ten teams do count!) except for this first weekend. There will be two divisions for four players this season - 10 game season. Only four (4) teams (two from each division) will qualify for play-offs. First round of play-offs will be during the Big Ten Tournament. The championship game will be decided during the NCAA Tournament and NIT Tourney. You score when your players score. You also score when they get REBOUNDS and ASSISTS. Your weekly total will be figured as follows ... The high point total (for each player) for one game during the week + 1/2 the total of your players best game in rebounds and assists. |

| All line-ups are due by 11:00 p.m. on Monday each week! Except for Week #1, this week your line-up is due by 6:00 p.m. on Friday, December 30th. You are allowed one (1) transaction per week ... bottom two teams in each division on Sunday, top two teams in each division on Monday each week. Order will be determined by overall record and division record. If you are allowed to select Sunday, but do not then you can still make your selection on Monday. Each Sunday I plan to tally all the scores from the week and submit results. I hope to do this by 6:00 p.m. From 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Sundays the two teams who are at the bottom of their divisions can make their FREE AGENT transaction. The third place teams can pick between 8:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. Monday is first come (e-mail) first serve including the top four teams AND any team that did not make a transaction on Sunday. Only one (1) FREE AGENT transaction per week. AND there are NO trades allowed in this league this season! PERIOD! When a player is dropped ... that player can NOT be picked up until the following week. There is no IR, if a player is cut, then he becomes a free agent for next week's transaction period. The sixth player or sub on your roster will be used as a tie-breaker. The second tie-breaker will be your starters total points scored (not rebounds and assists). Third tie-breaker is rebound total, fourth is assist total. Then second highest points ... rebounds ... assists. It won't get that far. THERE WILL BE NO TIES IN THE TOURNAMENT. THE HIGHER SEED WILL GET A 1/2 POINT HOME COURT ADVANTAGE - including the championship game during the Tournements. Tie-breakers ... if two or three teams tied for a play-off spot here is the rule that I will use. #1 overall record #2 head-to-head #3 division record #4 Points scored #5 Points allowed PAY-OUTS Weekly pay-out of $5 for the team with the most points scored for a given week. Regular season and first round of the play-offs all eight teams ... ($55) Division champion $8 X 2 = $16 Make the play-offs, but lose in the first round $5 X 2 = $10 Tournament Runner-up = $10 Tournament Champion = $25 Most points for a game without winning that weeks payout = ($4) TOTAL PAY-OUTS = $120 TWO DIVISIONS - Number Division and Letter Division Draft order 1-4 will be in one division, while picks 5-8 will be in the other. | EXAMPLE: K. Lowe has these stats on Wednesday - 12 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists He has these statistics on Saturday - 15 points, 2 rebounds, 5 assists His score is 19.5 - 15 points + 2 (1/2 of 4 rebounds) + 2.5 (1/2 of 5 assists) His score plus the score of your other four starters gives you your total score for the week. NOTE: Your rebounds and assists do not have to come from the same game as your players high scoring game. I WILL BE USING THE ESPN (BIG TEN) WEBSITE TO FIGURE SCORES. I do not care what other media site provide. THIS WILL BE THE OFFICIAL SCORE! There MAY be a game where rebounds and assists are not provided. If this happens I may look to other sites. I will do all I can, but I cannot include statistics that I do not have. PLEASE KEEP THIS IN MIND. |
