Big Ten Elimination Fantasy Football Team (BTE rules)
Big Ten Elimination Fantasy Football League Commissioner: Kip Wesner
The draft  is half way done ... thanks for playing. Cost $5 X 11 players =
$55 to be distributed. The Big Ten season is 12 weeks (September 1st through November 17th).

One player will be eliminated after Week #2 through Week #10. The champion
will be determined during the final TWO weeks of the season (Week #11 and #12).

If you are the HIGH scorer of a give week (first eight only), then you are
safe for the next week, AND if you have the lowest total point scored for
the season then you are eliminated from the game.

Week #1 All 11 players start AND finish this week. High scorer is safe during week #2
Week #2 High scorer from week #1 is SAFE and the lowest combined score is eliminated (see below)
Week #3 High scorer from week #2 is SAFE and the lowest combined score is eliminated (see below)

THE TWO PLAYERS WHO HAVE BEEN ELIMINATED CAN WIN BACK THERE ENTRY FEE DURING
WEEK #4 (which happens to be the first week of conference play). The two
players eliminated in weeks #2 and #3 will have their score calculated
versus the team that is eliminated at the conclusion of Week #4. The player
who scorers the best total of those three players will win a $5 cash prize
and all three will remain eliminated from the game.
Week #4 -  High scorer from week #3 is SAFE and the lowest combined score is
eliminated, but can win back entry fee based on his week #4 scoring total.

Same pattern continues throughout the end of Week #8
Week #9 No one is SAFE ... We start with four players and eliminate the lowest total points scored
Week #10 No one is SAFE ... We start with three players and eliminate the lowest total points scored

NOW THERE ARE ONLY TWO PLAYERS REMAINING ...
Total points are reset to zero total combined points scored during weeks
#11 and #12 will determine the winner of this fantasy game. The champion
wins $40 and the runner-up wins $5. Both teams start from scratch (zero points) to determine the champion.
One additional cash prize of $5 will be awarded to the player who scores the
most points during one week's score ... high one game total of the season
(during weeks #1 - #10)

Pay-out summary - $55
$40 to Champion
$5 to Runner-up
$5 to the best of the worst ... high scorer during week #4 of the three
players eliminated during 2-4
$5 to highest one game total during week #1 through #10

TRANSACTIONS
You are allowed three transaction moves among your RB and WR/TE positions.
Keep in mind you have drafted a kicking team (all points same game or not),
team defense (no injuries) and all the QB's from your QB team*.

*PLEASE BE ADVISED ... Even though we are picking a QB team. That does NOT
mean that if two QBs play in the same game, that you get stats and points
for both. It only means that if you have Purdue QB team and you name your
starter as C. Painter and he gets hurt during week #3, then for week #4 you
can start his back up. Or if K. Lewis flunks off the team after week #8,
then you can get who ever starts (or who you name as your starter) for
Indiana for week #9.

THERE IS NO INJURED RESERVE ... You are allowed three transactions and they
are are first come, first served. Once they are gone there are no more, so
use them wisely!

SCORING: Points are scored by scoring touchdowns, throwing a touchdown
passes, field goals, extra points, safety, yardage totals, defensive score
and BTND team to win (same as your defensive team).
A touchdown scored equals 6 points and a scored 2-point conversation equals 2 pts.
A thrown touchdown equals 4 points and a thrown 2 point conversation equals 1 pt.
All Field Goals equal 3 points, PAT equals 1 point and a safety equals 2 points.
Passing yardage - 150=1 point, 175=2 pts, 200=3 pts, 233=4 pts, 267=5 pts, 300=6 pts, 350+ = 7 pts
Rushing/Receiving - 33=1 point, 67=2 pts, 100=3 pts, 125=4 pts, 150=5 pts, 175=6 pts, 200+ = 7 pts

Defensive Points Allowed (Entire Team) - Shutout = 7 points
     2-6 points allowed = 5 pts
     7-10 points allowed = 3 pts
     11-16 points allowed = 1 point
BTND team to win (also your defense) - Your defensive team wins their game = 2 points
     Your defensive team wins by 10 - 19 pts. = 3 points
Your defensive team wins by 20+ points = 4 points
After Week #1 ...

As you most likely know. The kicking team that you drafted is all the
kickers from that Big Ten team. The QB situation is different. You are
playing only one QB each week (NOT EVERY and ALL QBs who play), this was explained during the draft.

Sometimes being a commissioner (or rules writer) is difficult. Nine of the
11 teams in the Big Ten used more than one QB this week ... two (OSU and MSU) even had more than one QB score. These are the kind of situations that I was trying to avoid by saying that you had to name your QB.

Here is the bad news! Two players in this league (one a very good friend of
mine and one that I don't know at all) were affected by this rule. Illinois'
QB Williams was injured and did not score, his replacement had a nice game, but it is not fair to Greg, Dan and Hogan if I change the rule to allow his back-ups points ... so I didn't. I am staying with the written rule. Also,
Steve and I thought the Minnesota QB was going to be Mortensen (see below). Well, A. Weber started and played the entire game and scored 10 points. Even though Steve had a very good week, it is not fair to Dave or BJ if Steve gets points for a QB that he didn't start.

I truly hate having to make these two rulings but I fell they are best for
the league. If I were to revised this rule for Week #1, if would be more
difficult to stick with it later. Also, I would have had to have scored Dan
and my team differently (with more points) as our teams had back-ups that
scored. But we did NOT get those points only received points for the QB that we started.

*ALSO, I did not address ties for the team (s) being eliminated. I will
handle them in the same manner as the NFL survivor league. The two (or more teams) tied for low score will play into the next week. One will be
eliminated for those teams AND then the low score from all teams will be
eliminated. If you are tied for bottom score you can NOT make a transaction
move!

Thanks for playing and understanding!
We will draft ...
1 QB Team - 11 players, 11 teams in the BT
1 RB - Each of the 11 teams does NOT have to be represented
2 WR - this will get thin quick
1 TE - same as for the RBs
1 Kicking team - 11 players, 11 teams in the BT
1 Def/ST/TTW - 11 players, 11 teams in the BT
