Text *Hamrah was bred in the desert of Arabia and imported by Davenport along with his dam *Urfah, "the distinguished mare," and his full brother *Euphrates, the only one of the Davenport horses registered by the Jockey Club. *Hamrah has sired over fifty registered foals.
