[Welcome my son, welcome to the machine]
Welcome to the life of the Malfoys, my dear son. The father welcomed his new son into the world. The new heir to the Malfoy name, estate, and power was given the name Lucius Malfoy. Little did the new born know of what his life meant, of what he would be expected to be and to accomplish. He was a beautiful baby, strong blue eyes, light blond hair, and a face any mother could love. His father was overjoyed at his new son, the product of his and his wifes love. The father was a loving man, but he was a Malfoy, which meant that love could only last so long, even for his wife. As with all Malfoys, his love would dry up and the world would be left with a monster.
[Where have you been?
Its alright, we know where youve been]
I thought I told you before that when I arrived, you were to come straight to me. I arrived here fifteen minutes ago. How dare you keep me waiting! Where have you been?
Lucius stood there, a young boy of just fourteen, in the cold room outside of the main hall. The room was usually used for visitors, evidence of which was the large fireplace with the jar of floo power on the mantle.
Dont tell me, you were with that Potter boy again, werent you? What have I told you about associating with that boy? You have no respect for me. with his fathers last words Lucius felt a slap square across the face. It wasnt the first time he had been hit, but it was the first he had been hit at school. Lucius looked down at the floor, holding his cheek, and feeling as if his heart had been cut from his chest. If I ever find out that you have been with that Potter kid again, I will make sure that he doesnt live to see another day. Do you understand me?
A nod was all he could manage.
Good. Now, I am here to tell you that your first death eater meeting will be Saturday. You will be given a loyalty test and new spells to learn. Dont screw it up, or I will see that you never see another human being the rest of your life. I am leaving now. and with that his father was gone via floo. Lucius crumbled to the floor. It was an hour later when James found him in the room.
Lucius, I have been looking everywhere for you. Are you alright?? You missed potions and you know your father would be extremely mad if you didnt do well in school.
Lucius made no reply.
Lucius, talk to me!
I cant be around you anymore. I cant be with you. My father wont let me. Lucius began to cry into James shirt.
Dont cry well work this out.
I cant be around you anymore. He said he would kill you if I was around you again. I cant even talk to you.
Lucius.
You have to go now. You have to leave me alone. I have to stay away from you.
But Lucius, you cant do that. We are friends. Doesnt your father understand friendship?
I guess not. He has plans for me and they dont include me being friends with you, so he will do anything to prevent me from doing so.
I dont know how I can stop seeing you.
You must try, I will also have to try. Im sorry James. Lucius again cried, and James gave one last embrace to the blonde haired boy in front of him.
Lucius, I promise not to ever forget you. Please promise me the same.
I promise. Now leave me. I will be alright. Goodbye James. James was gone forever and Lucius was alone. Soon a knock came on the door.
Lucius, are you alright?

Lucius walked down the corridor of the drafty castle that was hogwarts. Everywhere he walked, if there was a crowd of students, they would part and let him by. It was only a week after his father had come, and Lucius was already known as being cold-hearted. He had made the change over night, if he couldnt be friends with who he wanted, he was going to make sure everyone hated him. He let a few people close to him, Serverus was one of them. When ever he crossed paths with James, he would stare past him and walk right by. Lucius made sure that James know and witnessed how close he was to Serverus. This in turn made James and his posse extremely mad at Serverus and they punished him when ever they could.
Lucius knew he had loved James, and still did, but there was nothing he could do. In his fifth year at Hogwarts he began to pick up other slytherin boys, and dropping them after one night. He would treat as if they were dirt and them toss they away just the same. Lucius refused to get close to anyone.
His life was beginning to fall into the pattern his father had cut for him. All that he did was as his father wanted. Lucius didnt complain, he knew it was fruitless to do so. So he followed, keeping all his feelings of love and happiness hidden deep inside him. In time all would be gone and he would just be another shell of a Malfoy.
[welcome my son, welcome to the machine]
Lucius held back the scream threatening his lips, the pain was excruciating.
Lucius Malfoy, you are now a death eater. You have proved yourself loyal, and now you may join you father in the fight for my total rule over the wizarding world.
Lucius, now eighteen, looked at the other members faces, some familiar, some not. Among them was his good friend Serverus Snape. Lucius bowed before the dark lord then stood next to his father. His father had the look of a father whose son had just won a war, the look of extreme pride. It was the first time, since Lucius turned five, that his father wore that smile.
[What did you dream?
Its alright, we told you what to dream
you dreamed of a big star,he played a mean guitar
He always ate in a steak bar
he loved to drive in his jaguar]
Lucius, deatheater, cold hearted, unloved. His life was still as his father had wanted, but his father was unhappy about something. Lucius needed an heir. His father decided that before he died his son would marry and produce an heir for the malfoy estate. His father chose the bride, Lucius had no say.
You dont have to love her. Marry her, and produce a son for me. You can rape for all I care as long as she has a child. Lucius looked at his father. What his father had just said shocked him, yet at the same time he was not at all surprised he had said that.
I would prefer not to be tied to anyone.
I dont care what you prefer. I am telling you to do it. and that was final.
Lucius went through with the wedding and everything. His wife had a child, much like he was when he was born. Lucius had not loved his wife but he couldnt help but love the child. There was something about the newborn that made Lucius remember his early school days, before he learned to hide his positive feelings. A face appeared in his head, the face of James Potter. His father happened to be at his grandsons birth. He watched Lucius as he he was handed the child. He watched Lucius expression melt and a small smile appear on his face.
Lucius father was an old man, and an unhappy man. He had done it to himself, much like his son had done, but he had never loved someone as Lucius had. His father had never been able to forgive the potter kid for his befriending his son. Voldemort knew the hatred he felt for the potter kid, and he knew that once Lucius was good friends with him.
When his father died, a few weeks after his sons birth, Lucius didnt know weither to be relieved, or sad. He was just empty. With his father gone, Lucius became the Dark Lords right hand man. He was the one who headed all the missions, he was the highest among the deatheaters. And he was the first to hear of the plan for the most remembered day in the history of the wizarding world. The day Voldemort would be reduced to almost nothing by an infant. The day James Potter would be killed. That was the day Lucius lost a piece of his heart.
