| Chapter 3: Magma Break |
| A fireball� Descending to earth� It crashes� Into a mountain� A human within� Two lights shine from within� One Dark� One light� |
| The sky seemed to part to allow the fireball pass through. It struck the summit of Mt. Fuji and caused lava to pour from the top. A man was seen crawling out alongside of the flows. He crawled out and stood up and hopped down the mountain at incredible speed. Many people around the scene witness the man in the trench coat as he fled the scene. |
| The bell rang once again at Crossroads High School and the students go about their afternoons. Some to the arcades, others in cram school and of course some just hang out with their friends. Rei, Ami, Mina, Usagi, and Mako walk down the street headed to the days study place, Rei's Temple. "I'm telling you guys I had the weirdest dream a guy coming on a fireball and two lights, weird huh?" "What's weird is that fireball that hit Mt. Fuji Last night," Ami said. "A fireball� hit� a mountain� " Rei said. "Yeah and some guy was seen running out of that area," Mina said. "Maybe Kura's back!" Mako said. "He could be," a voice said from behind them. The turned to see Haruka and Michiru walking up beside them. "I hope he's back!" Haruka said, "That guy owes me a race!" "But that was my dream!" Rei shouted. "What? Did you have a vision about Kura?" Mako said eagerly. "I'm not sure if it was him, but it was a guy in a trench coat. With one black shadow and one white shadow." "Trench coat?" Mako said, "Kura always wore a jacket�" "I'm sorry Mako� it might still be Kura," Usagi said, "Jeez Rei� Mako just got over him� " "It wasn't my fault Usagi!" "It's okay you guys� he'll come back eventually," Mako said. "I've just got to have faith in him. |
| I can't believe I escaped Kitako. She must be getting soft. I've got to get back to Mako now, but my teleportation can't make it to earth anymore. I guess I'll just have to wait for Queen Serenity to allow me to go back to her. |
| Kura sat on a rock overlooking the ocean under a beautiful starry sky, wondering how Mako was doing. "I wish there was some way to speed up time until that day. |

| Everyone had left and it was getting dark as Rei stared into the night sky. She wondered when she would ever have someone to love like Mako had. She was beginning to feel very bad about accusing Kura of being evil, but she really did get weird vibrations from that guy. She was so deep in thought she didn't notice the figure approaching her from the shadows, until he had collapsed at her feet. "Oh no!' Rei shouted and quickly dragged him inside. She had just gotten him inside when he began coughing uncontrollably. Black dust coming out of his mouth. It also covered his clothes and face. She grabbed a cloth dampened it and began cleaning his face. A flash of bronze from his right hand caused her to examine it closer. She was surprised to find a metal claw-like weapon attached like a guard to his right hand, for the moment she ignored it. She cleaned off his face to reveal a really cute guy, but it wasn't Kura� |
| The darkened room made him sprung up in terror, thinking he may have been caught by his enemy, but he looked over to see a door cracked letting a little light into the room and illuminating a dark haired girl who had apparently fallen asleep next to him. He rose to find his trench coat and shirt removed and his bronze hair, chest, back and face washed. His severe burns had been bandaged. He rose silently, without waking Rei, and headed outside. His claw was gone, but as soon as he was outside he figured he didn't have to worry about it. "A temple," he said to himself as he looked around at the beautiful scenery. It was just before dawn and all remained still. He wondered how lucky he had to be to escape from his enemies and end up here with a beautiful girl as his caretaker. He was older than she was, but not but more than a year, but what really perplexed him was the voice he heard before he landed here. It said something about staying alive to make someone happy. Could it really be that he had been called here to make someone happy, but his presence had never brought happiness to anyone before. "Oh� you're awake� Hello my name is Hino Rei. Pleased to meet you." "Takayama Akakami, likewise," he said bowing, although he wasn't sure why. "So� are you that guy from the fireball?" she asked with a blush. "I guess so," he said. "Then I guess you must know Kura," Rei said. |
| Mako was staring at Kura's cot when she heard the knock at the door. She opened it to reveal Rei and a guy in a trench coat. "Hi Rei�" she looked over to Akakami, "Is that?" "It's the guy from Fuji, his name is Akakami and he knows Kura!" Rei said. "You know Kura? Have you seen him lately? Come in please," Mako said quickly. "I can see why Kura would like you, you're just his type," Akakami said, Mako blushed, "as for him I was hoping he had contacted you, but I wouldn't worry about him. Rei told me he teleported out with Sailor Polaris. He's probably on Nevea trying to get back here right now," he smiled over to Mako, Rei began to get a little jealous. "Did he give you any information on the other attackers?" "No, we killed one though." "Really? That's impressive, the four of us couldn't even take out one of them." "He seemed to know how to beat it, right from the start though." "So Kura may yet know their secrets. Thank you for your time and don't worry he'll be back. Let's go Rei," Akakami said. "What?" Rei said, "Is that all you wanted to know." "Yeah," he walked out the door leaving Mako and Rei very confused. "I'll see you later Mako!" Rei said and ran after him. |
| Kura found himself in a very strange place after the bright flash. He looked around to find himself in some type of Purgatory. Was this where he'd be able to speed up time? He pushed open a nearby door and saw� "You guys?" "We've got to help the girls!" |

| "Kura? Kura was here? That's impossible!" "No, he was here a few weeks ago� but he left� to protect Mako and the rest of us� So you do know him!" "Well� yeah�" "Have you seen him lately?" she said eagerly trying to atone with Mako. They had not been off on the best path since Kura had left to prevent Sailor Polaris from killing them. "Not for two months�" he said, "So I guess Yonoai and Retsu have visited here too, huh?" "Who?" Rei said. "The two other guys who are in the same situation as Kura and I," Akakami said. "he didn't mention us?" "No, not to the rest of us, but he could have told Mako something." "Can I speak to Mako?" "Sure she'll be happy to hear from a friend of Kura!" "I wouldn't call us friends, more like allies, but take me to her, Kura could've left valuable information with her!" "Okay� but you might want to clean up first�" |
| Rei caught up with Akakami outside of the building. "So where to now?" "Well, we could go out to eat�" he said and blushed. "You mean� like a date?" "Well I've never been really good at asking, but sure why not?" "Okay!" Rei said, "I know a great place!" Rei was overjoyed to have a boyfriend at last. |
| "Akakami is here," the brown suited man said, "we shall not fail again." "Very well, but I must have those stones," the mysterious voice from the black crystal. "Yes Sir, I Firel will handle this one!" the brown suited man said and disappeared in a burst of flame. |
| Rei and Kura had a great time at dinner and were now walking the streets of Tokyo and enjoying the sights and sounds. As they passed by the video arcade they heard a voice from behind them. "Hey Rei!" Rei turned to see Haruka and Michiru. "Oh, hi Haruka, this is Akakami, a friend of Kura." "Hello," Akakami said. "A friend of Kura," Haruka said, "Have you ever fought him?" Akakami's fist clenched, "He beat me last time and owes me a rematch, he's so fast!" "He beat me too!" Haruka said, "That calm attitude of his!" "Exactly," both now had the look of crazed psychopaths. "I gotta release some tension. How about a race?" Haruka said. "Video Games huh? You're on Akakami said with a smile. They both sat down in the seats and put in their coins and the race began. The both took off at incredibly high speed, but as Haruka leveled off, Akakami kept climbing. The girls were shocked. He was pushing 550 mph! "Can't this thing go any faster!" he said as he passed Haruka. She tried to go faster, but couldn't make it and crashed. "How did you do that?" Haruka said. "The games on Pele go up to 2000 mph!" the girls all fell down anime style. "Pele?" Rei said. "Capitol Planet in the Vega system," he said. "Why not head to the park to talk about this a little more� " Michiru said noticing all the people staring at them. |
| They had arrived at the park and circled up to talk. "Well as far as meeting Kura and the others we all met on Cassius in the system known as Alpha Centauri. I was drunk and started talking about my problems. The others rushed me outta there and that's how we all met. Since them we've been ducking the four shadows and the Sailor Scouts since. What I want to know is how Kura is connected to you guys." "Well, as far as I know he came here badly damaged and Mako patched him up, eventually we found out the dark forces might be after him and so he and Mako defeated Windel." Rei said. "Wow, you guys must be martial arts experts." "No, we're- " Haruka was cut off by a burst of fire the nearly killed them. "Ha-ha, and now Firel is here to take revenge! Hello Akama, Long time no see!" "Why do you keep calling me that?" Akakami yelled. "It's your name!" he said and transformed into a brown snakelike creature. He bared his fangs and breathed a burst of fire. Akakami dodged. "Mars Crystal Power!" "Uranus Crystal Power!" "Neptune Crystal Power!" |

| "This should put out his flame!" Michiru shouted, "Submarine Reflection!" she directed it into Firel's mouth, which began smoking. He then began frantically striking at the nearest opponent. |

| "Time for those fangs to be removed!" Haruka shouted. "Space Sword Blaster!" It cut off his fangs, allowing Akakami to close in on Firel. |

| "Mars Flame Sniper!" She fired the deadly arrow, which incinerated the shadow. "So, Kura teamed up with the sailor scouts from the Sun System huh? I always said he was smarter than he looked!" Akakami said and laughed, the others laughed with him. |
| "The Shadow Caster will not be pleased," a mysterious figure said to himself as he walked out to the place of Firel's death. He squatted down and snatched up another of the black stones. "Looks like I'll be the one to reap the glory in the end," he said and then cackled maniacally, his cackle echoed throughout the park, but the Sailor Soldiers were long gone. |
| "What?" Akakami said and turned to see the transformed Sailor Soldiers. "You're� Sailor Soldiers?" "Oh yeah I forgot to mention that," the all jumped aside as another sweep of flame came from the giant snake-shadow. |
