The next day Mako was not at school the next day and Ami, Rei, Mina, and Usagi were curious.
"Maybe... they..."
"No way Mina! I don't think she'd do... that," Ami said.
"Well I had a very romantic night with Mamoru last night, and I still came to school," Usagi said.
"I think something with the Enemy caused her to not be at school today," Ami said.
"I agree," Rei said, "We should get over there right away! Kura could've been the enemy!"
"No way Rei! He was a good guy!" Usagi yelled.
"He wasn't!"
"He was!"
"He wasn't!"
"Let's just get there!" Ami yelled at them.
"Okay," they said in unison, even Mina was shocked at Ami's outburst. So they ran off towards Mako's apartment.
Rei got there first and banged on the door yelling to see if Mako was there. She found the door was open and barged in to find Mako sobbing. The other scouts caught up with her then. "Did he hurt you? Is he the enemy?"
"Back off Rei, can't you see she's hurting!" Mina yelled and pushed Rei back to go and comfort Mako.
"Jeez Rei leave her alone!" Usagi said as she went to comfort Mako as well.
"I... I..." Mako stammered.
"He was evil and you defeated him!" Rei Yelled.
"I... I... killed him," Mako said.
"Was he... a bad guy?" Mina said.
"No He helped me... defeat the enemy," Mako said.
"What?" Usagi said.
"He prevented it from flying away and I killed them both... it was an accident... I thought he would teleport," she began crying again. They all were shocked by what she had said. "I didn't think!" Suddenly a window shattered and a battered and bloody Kura rolled over to Mako's side. "Oh my god Kura!" He immediately struggled up and faced the window. He stared out the window for a minute and then collapsed.
"I thought you said he was dead," Usagi said.
"I thought he was," Mako said, "get him to the bed."
"What could've done this?" Rei said.
"I don't know, nothings out there," Ami said.
"I'll ask him when he wakes up, see you tomorrow guys," Mako said.
Kura awoke to the wonderful smell of Mako's cooking. He rolled over and sat up to see Mako watching him from the door as usual. It was then that he recalled the past day.
"What happened the other night?" Mako said with a look of concern, "Are the others after you?"
"No, Sailor Polaris has arrived," Kura said.
"Who?" Mako said.
"Sailor Polaris equivalent to your Sailor Moon, except far more powerful."
"Has she been taken control of by the enemy?"
"No, we'd better hold another scout meeting."
The scouts gathered in the park this time to discuss the new threat. They were spread out in a semicircle, Kura and Haruka leaning on opposite trees. Rei and Michiru standing at either side of Haruka and Mako standing next to Kura and Mina and Ami on either side of them. With Usagi and Mamoru at the edge between Kura and Haruka, completing one side of the circle and Setsuna and Hotaru at the other side completing the other side. The cats were next to their respective 'owners'  "I teleported out to avoid getting killed, but Sailor Polaris is able to track me whenever I teleport. I have no idea why she didn't follow me. Perhaps you guys are stronger than her, but I doubt it." Kura said.
"Are you saying we will be defeated?" Haruka yelled.
"You couldn't beat me or Sailor Galaxia so there's no way you'll beat her. She's got twice my power."
"Do you know why she's after you?" Luna said.
"He has to be the enemy!" Rei yelled, pointing an accusing finger at Kura.
"What makes you say that?" Artemis said.
"He admits that Sailor Polaris isn't controlled by the dark forces, so she has got to be the good guy and he's the bad guy!"
"She wants something called the Diamond Spirit Crystal, which I also supposedly have."
"It must be inside you," Michiru said.
"Inside me?" Kura said.
"A common place for storing valuable crystals is inside people," Mako said to Kura.
"So then both the Shadow and Spirit Crystal are within me? Great," he said sarcastically, "How do I get them out?"
"Death is the most common way," Haruka said.
"So I have to die anyway. I'm sorry, but I won't go quietly."
"It could be a type of crystal that's removable without death!" Mako said. "we just need to figure it out."
"I think death is befitting of a criminal!" a mysterious voice shouted from the shadows of the nearby tree cluster.
"Scatter!" Kura yelled as he backed away from the tree. A bright silver light appeared before him and from it appeared a beautiful young woman in a black sleeveless dress with long silver hair. "You don't have to do this Kitako!"
"Yes I do you're a liar and a thief!"
"They're lying to you."
"Kitako?" Mako questioned still at Kura's side.
"Yeah Kitako, its her name," Kura said, "Now get out of here!"
"Why are you on a first name basis with your enemy?" Mako questioned.
"She was my best friend a long time ago"
"C'mon Kura, I don't want to have to beat you around again. Your brother would be happier."
"How is your fianc? I hope you put my name down of the guest list, I'll be bringing a date."
"Your brother is her fianc?" Mako asked.
"Why wouldn't the crowned prince of the capitol planet marry the lead Sailor Soldier? It happened here, it's very common." Kura said.
"Quit joking around! I'm very sorry, but I have to!" Kitako said with a sincere look of sadness in her eyes. "POLARIS GALAXY POWER!" She had a white sailor suit with Black collar, skirt, boots, and gloves. Her tiara was silver with a Star-like shape at its center, Her held out her wand and fired twelve silver strings of energy, which wrapped around the soldiers, Mamoru, and the cats and held their arms down. Kura was the only one to escape.
"I didn't have my sword last time!" Kura said drawing it.
"It won't help you! Surrender please!"
"At least tell me why my idiot brother is doing this!"
"He wants the crystal, we can extract it, but it is illegal to come to this planet without being summoned!"
"I was summoned! By her!" Kura pointed to Sailor Moon, "Err her future self!"
"Do you think I'm stupid?"
"Fine we'll fight! You always were that way.
"GO KURA!" Mako yelled.
"Polaris Whip Buster!" Kitako yelled as the whip-like sliver thread up in the air where an electric charge appeared at the end of it and hurled it at Kura. Kura rushed the strange attack and slashed upward causing a hug flash and a lot of smoke. "Now I've got you!" she cried, "Polaris Double Buster!" the same attack except two whips instead of one came out of her wand and she launched it into the smoke. Another Explosion occurred. When Kura apparently fell out of the sky and landed on the wand knocking it from Kitako's grip and stepping on it. He then put his sword against her neck and calmly declared, "I win again."
"You've gotten far better," Kitako said, "I'm sorry to do this, but if you don't come with me she'll die." Suddenly Mako floated in the air, still bound by the silver thread, and floated over near Kura.
"Let them go!" Kura said.
"Come with me," she said solemnly, "You know I'll get you a fair trial."
"You don't know who you're working for!"
"Fine You give me no choice" the silver rope emitted electricity to shock Mako. Mako survived the shock, but Kura could tell it hurt badly. "Now Surrender," Kitako said.
He looked over to Mako and smiled nicely. Then He waved goodbye. "FINE!" Kura yelled and before anyone knew what was going on he dropped the sword, hugged Kitako and teleported away. All the sailor soldiers, Mamoru and the cats were released from their bonds.
"Kura" was all Mako could say as she stared up at the sky.
