TD CRITERIA

Thinking about becoming a TD? Terrific !!!! We would love to have you. The more TDs we have the more our already dedicated staff gets to play and have fun too. There are no minimums or quotas for our TDs, we appreciate each and every tourney because we know it cuts into your playing time.

Presently there are Trainers responsible for training new TDs, one of them will be assigned ot you to walk you through general information and your first tourney, for training tourneys 2-10 you may work with any trainer that happens to be in the lounge when you feel like running !!!
The following is a checklist they have put together for themselves to aid in training, feel free to have a look through it. If you think this is something you would be interested in just go back and look for the I Want to be a Kinky TD link just below where you found this one. We look forward to seeing your name on our board.

1. All new TDs should be taken the Cases TD training site to practice there before running one with living, breathing kinksters.
2. Be sure that they are in the habit of using Ps directly under each other, and not in a criss-cross pattern. This is unless there are people in the same household, who can NEVER be Ps.
3. Be sure to explain auto wins. Sometimes this does not occur in trainers and they need to know how to do it.
4. Dont forget to show them how to do an entry fee. They wont be doing it with their trainers, but need to know when theyre all grown up.
5. Send new TD your member list and be sure they know how to SPAM. Tell them they need to keep their member list up to date. Karens is always current, bug her for it. Also, do not send out the dreaded Anyone want a tourney? SPAM. Karen will yell at them for that. Make a tourney and then SPAM. If they wanted to play theyll get in.
6. They need to be willing to ask for help when running big tourneys or if a question arises, thats what admin and HTDs are for. If they dont know the answer, they will find out!
7. If they pre-make a tourney, make sure they show up for it!!!
8. When they are running a tourney they should be visible online, and their status should say that they are running a tourney. It is the TDs job to banter with the players, not to be occupied in private IMs while running.
9. Karen doesnt like booting people for shits and giggles. First time is a warning, second is a DQ. L

When Running a Tourney:

A) Be sure table is set correctly and people are sitting in correct pairings.
B) Only people in game are to be invited to tables. Others are to come on their own.
C) Rules need to be posted before each round, including misbids which are 50 50 DQ. Misbid penalties only apply to the player who misbid in all 1 vs. 1 games. Subs do not get penalties for misbids. However, if a sub misbids 3 times we will get another sub.
D) Hand count is to be announced at the beginning of each hand.
E) A player who voluntarily leaves the table is immediately DQd and cannot come back and finish the tourney.
F) Players who are booted by Yahoo or who are sticking are to be put on timer and given 10 mins to get back to game. Also, players who are not in lobby are put on timer and given 10 mins to get to table or players who are in the lobby but do not report to table are given 5 mins on timer, otherwise they are DQd.
G) A player who does not make it back to table by the end of the game does not advance. Also, if a player finishes a round and advances but is unable to play the next round, they will get the win for the round they completed. We will get a sub for that player and give the auto to their opp of the following round.
H) Slow play warnings: A person who has been idle for 60 seconds will get a warning and told that they will be DQd on 3rd offense.
I) If TD needs a BRB, put someone specific in charge before they leave. If game ends while they are gone, go to the person left in charge and get any questions answered.
J) TD will set finals table and invite only finalists. Once finalists declare subs they are the only other people to be invited to table. Others may come to watch on their own.
K) No subs are allowed for finalists. If finalist cant play, auto win is awarded.
L) Winners are to hold the table.
M) Subs cant concede.

When Creating a Tourney:

A) Be sure that they put the rules either on the tourney mainpage or in the rules section.
B) It is also helpful if the number of hands is included in the name of the tourney. Some people dont like to play 4-handers, some dont like 8-handers. This way they know what theyre getting into and hopefully bitching is held to a minimum.
C) Put name of tourney after Soc 3 in the location. This makes it easier for people who are viewing tourney calendar on mainpage.
D) Seedings should always be random unless it is a regular pino game. If its regular pino seedings can either be by rating or random up to TDs discretion.
E) Each game is to be run only one time per day. Check the calendar to see whats already been played. If they want to run a specific game, pre-schedule it.
