| WELCOME TO SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENTS What is Service Announcements? Service announcements is the place where you can find out when the Kinky_kavuk websites are going to have General Repairs, or updates, or change of directory. What is General Repairs? General Repairs is the name given to the time when Kinky_kavuk checks all its sites to see if there is any broken links or if websites that it links to are still there. When this is happening will it affect the website? Unfortunately when this is happening, that particular section of Kinky_kavuk will be shut down, or the whole site will be shut down. When will these General Repairs be taking place? A date has not been set for these General Repairs and that is why Service Announcemets is here. An advanced warning of from a month to a week will appear on this page, telling you of when it will start, and what will be affected. How long will this last? The General Repairs last for as long as it takes to sort out the website, so due to sites being different sizes it will be different lengths of times for different sites. It can range from one day to 2 weeks or more. A rough time range will be posted next to the advanced warning, when it appears. How often will these repairs take place? These repairs should happen at least twice a year for each site. Each site will have its General Repairs at a different times to other sites. Is this the only time the site will be closed? This should be the only time the site is shut down, but I cannot promise this. Sometimes Emergency Repairs may take place. Adavanced warnings cannot be given for these because they are, an on the spot repair, although soon as they start a message will be posted on this page stating what is happening. The site may also be closed due to the website provider, for which I cannot control. You will be able to tell when I'am having repairs on a site because the homepage will become this page. If its due to the website provider then this page will not appear. What is Change Of Directory? This is when a pages place is moved or name is changed e.g. xtreme sports will become extreme sports. If I plan for the change an advanced warning will be posted, while if i have just done it with no warning, the note will be posted on here stating the change. How long will the history of Updates and Change Of Directory last? It is undecided at the moment how long they will remain posted, but I have a rough idea to keep them posted for two months, then stick them into a history file |
