Little Willie is Learning :)
This is the section where I keep track of all that my baby has taught himself over his lifetime. So far, he isn't even two years old and has already mastered a great many things. He always comes to show me his accomplishments. We call this technique of learning UNSCHOOLING.
What He Knows :
The number 5, how to say it, recognize it, and count to it silently

The letters L and O, how to say them, recognize them, and the sound the letters make

Sign language for milk

Hand movements to the Itsy Bitsy Spider, Skinimarinkidinkidink, the Wiggles' Quack song, the Wiggles' Monkey song, and a Spanish song called "La Linda Manita"

Sing some of the words to "La Linda Manita"

Say the first four letters of the alphabet

Count to five out loud

How to put things in a sequence *blue green blue*

The difference between mine, yours, me, my, I, you, and we

How to say sentences like "you love my Mommy" and "dame" *give me in spanish*

Recognizes "adios" as "goodbye", "afuera" as "to get out", "dame beso" as "give me a kiss"

Always notices how things are taken apart and put back together, then shows you he knows how to do it, too.

Imagines objects to be something they are similar to, such as a banana as a phone, a brush as a microphone, etc.

How to communicate basic needs/wants

How to say names of relatives and friends

How to pick out his own clothes and put them on for the mostpart

How to pee in the potty (when he feels like it)

We haven't completely abandoned unschooling, but we are trying a more structured approach. Soon, I will be ordering
Sonlight curriculum and allowing him to set the pace. I believe that he has taught himself a lot up to this point and will continue to do so. I just plan to help him expand his horizons a bit more with some structured activities and worksheets.

If you want to see the progress he has made thus far feel free to look into his Homeschooling journal :
Eternal Learning Homeschool.
